I have been with the employer for more than 13 years but have nothing to show for it.
My work involves teaching and learning. I do administrative work, research and attend conferences. I have opportunities to further my education and have traveled to a number of countries in the world. Exposure to new learning areas in life through research (continuous learning).
Pros: Opportunities for promotion are a challenge as institution struggles with finances to meet such demands.
Cons: Marking is the main strain as it takes you long hours of work. The delivery of service via lecturing is not much strain.

Excellent learning curve
I am an extrovert who enjoy to workvwitg people , exactly what my job requires despite some of the home up in trying to achieve synergy to different backgrounds and personalities. Pressure of duties mounts always but I appreciate facing these challenges since it is a learning opportunity. I can even go overtime work in order to keep myself within set standards. People above my rank are just a motivational factor and models from which I learn a lot. Diversity in duties as well as personality pauses unforseen disturbances in both home and work life however, having mastered the impact of diversity it is now a source of strong facts and ideas through table discussions and brain storming. The most challenging aspect is the need to balance work life and home life. It is not easy due to high demands by the job hence result in stress though minimal. Thank you.

Excellent learning experience
My Vote Counts (MVC) is a non-profit that aims to improve the accountability, transparency and inclusiveness in South Africa’s political and electoral systems. We achieve our aims through research, advocacy, campaigning, popular education and strategic litigation. My Responsibilities: Develop and implement MVC’s communications strategy; Develop and implement a social media content calendar; Coordinate the design and distribution processes of MVC’s work; Compile, design and facilitate the distribution of a MVC Newsletter; Ensure that all MVC communications and publications reflect MVC’s identity; Manage MVC’s website and social media content and updates; Coordinate the design, layout, proofing and printing processes of MVC’s publications in consultation with MVC’s researchers; Manage the distribution of all MVC’s publications and communications material; Manage MVC’s stakeholder databases; Coordinate all correspondence and interactions between MVC staff and the media.

Working at a Taxi Rank is enjoyable according to my own personality, each and everyday I come across with so critical different minds of human beings. Each and everyday there's something to put on the table no matter how small it is but it makes a lot of difference to me and my family.

Good project management
Constantly monitor and report on progress of the events to all relevant stakeholders. To develop and implement event specific communication strategy and plan. To develop and implement event specific change management strategy and plan.To recommend event control solutions for planning, scheduling, and tracking projects Monitor the delivery of work streams against plans, chasing and challenging progress of events as appropriate. Meeting,deadlines,helping clients achieve their targets and giving them exactly what they want and seeing smiles on their faces is the best present for me,building relationships and the energy they bring in whether its co-workers or clients,am an extrovert who strives under challenging conditions. I have learnt not to take people for granted,listen to constructive criticism as it is meant to help me grow. The most challenging part about my job is that I have no control over service providers and you worry that they might not meet a clients brief.

EXCELLENT LEARNING
IT IS VERY GOOD AND NICE WORKING HERE MY CO WORKERS ARE VERY FRIENDLY. WE HAVE A BOND AND WE WORK AS A TEAM. I HAVE LEARNT THAT PEOPLE NEED EACH OTHER .CHALLENGING ASPECTS ARE WORKING OVERTIME OR WORKING ON WEEKENDS

Experience
Walter Sisulu University is recognized to be one of the best universities when it comes into growth. I joined the the company as a laboratory technician and later became a lecturer. My daily job is to impart the knowledge to students, develop assessments for students including the kitchen practicals. We are working as a team to achieve the common goal core values of the company which are research, teaching and learning and lastly community engagement. I have learned to be adaptable (to accept the change) and realizing the importance of research in everything we do and to acknowledge the stakeholders. I enjoyed to facilitate the learning. Due to what is happening to our university, students strikes the challenge is the catch up plan as it was never included in the academic calendar but one have to learn how to tackle it.
