Excellent learning curve

Currently I work as a laboratory demonstrator in Biochemistry department. The practical usually start with the pre-pact whereby we check for the feasibility of the practical by doing it prior. The relationship with my colleagues is a professional relationship in which we have a motto of "work hard and play hard". Given this opportunity to work with student s have developed my management skill and it has been a learning curve for me in understanding the nature of a student and being creative on how to make their studies easier by introducing new concepts to the study. I enjoy the enthusiasm of the students in discovering the link between their theoretical work and the practical work. I enjoy marking their practical reports. The challenging part is that there are limited resources to give each student special attention which eventually forces you to make them work in groups.

Pros: Great opportinity to gain experience
Cons: Long working hours
