I am currently working at the University of South Africa as a Linux system engineer where I am responsible for the system administration of the student system SITS and Gen,LMS:SAKAI and Oracle systems: Oracle EBS. Also perform Installs new/rebuilds existing servers and configures hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc., Develops and maintains installation and configuration procedures, Contributes to and maintains Linux and UNIX system standards, Printing Esker, X-Text and Cosprint and a VMware Administration. I also Performs daily system monitoring and verifies the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes.
Pros: Currently studying Masters in Business Leadership

UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH AFR
I worked with helping the student to apply for space and student numbers. I help them to understand the qualification of their choice. I helped them to understand what long-distance learning is all about. my coworkers were very helpful and always willing to work as a team. what a enjoyed most was seeing the smile on a student that I just helped. it gave me pleasure and to know how much I changed someone's life and gave them hope in making a difference in their lives.
Pros: working at unisa helped me to have an understanding of how to work with different people and how to deal with their stress and mistrust
Cons: the sad part was that with all that experience we get we are just left outside on our own.

Great exposure
Unisa is a great company that exposes you to different cultures and people,you are able to assist new student in starting the careers. I have a lot of skills, dealing with pressure and conflict because it a very big company. The working condition are excellent,the most challenge thing i come across is when assisting students with disabilities because we do not have proper facilities for them and helping student who are not well to listen . Overall i really enjoy helping people and most

Excellent learning
Working as a lecturer is the most valuable thing that has happen in my life. I am enjoying myself because i share my knowledge in Logistics and supply Chain with student whom are making impact in their respective companies. My relationship with my colleagues is best because I learn from them at the same time I share my knowledge with them. I have learn that working as team will always achieve organisational goals and will help me to grow as individual. The most challenging was to change Curriculum for honors student because i feel is is too common

stretch yourself
it is a great environment o stimulate your mind, working with clinical psychologist and educational psychology in finding innovative ways to assists student at an open distance learning institution. i have learned to find my voice and i mostly enjoyed making resources that will provide adequate information to students. the most challenging aspect was working under a very tough senior counsellor who was excellent in counselling, i leant to be brave and stretch myself. one does not learn anything when they are in a comfortable space.

I HAVE LEARNT TO WORK INDIVIDUAL AND ALSO AS A TEAM AND I HAVE WORKED IN DIFFERENT AREAS WITHIN THE ORGANISATION I ENJOYED IT MOST BECAUSE I GAINED EXPERIENCE SUCH AS PROVIDING STUDENT WITH ACADEMIC RECORDS, PROOF OF REGISTRATION,EXAM TIMETABLE, PROOF OF REGISTRATION,ASSISTING STUDENTS WITH REGISTRATION, APPLICATION AND ANSWER STUDENT QUESTIONS. I HAVE ENJOYED THAT SENIOR EMPLOYEES ALLOWED ME TO ASSIST THEM IN THEIR POSITION AND THEY WERE ASKING ME TO RESCUE THEM.
Pros: CHANCES FOR BEING PROMOTED WERE VERY HIGH.
Cons: HOURS WORKED WERE NOT TOO LONG.
