Working independently

I am working as a merchendiser, most of the time our manager is not with us, he comes sometimes once a month when he brings the pay slips. Me and my team we manage ourself most of the time. Our team work is very good even the client does not complaining about our job. Even our leaders from head office when they come, they are not complaining with anything even if they come unexpected.

Pros: Not great opportunity for promotion because no one is recognise my intelligency
Cons: Normal hours excluding working on holidays but not get paid for over time

I have learnt a lot and gain a lot of experience in the food industry

You learn something new everyday Get to deal with different personalities of people as there are many people working here I enjoyed the swab taking and trending the results

Pros: Great opportunity for beginners and those who have started working a long time ago. Caters for everyone
Cons: Sometimes you even have to work weekends

Challenging and learning opportunities every day. Exposure to some other departments I work with.

First thing in the morning I go through my email to check if there is any urgent matter that needs to be attended immediately. Then interact with the team to understand the assistance they require from my side since most of them they are not office based and ensure that they get assistance. If they need equipment to be issued I attend to it as per their requirements. Once all that is done I go through all open projects to ensure that all that is needed is available. Follow up on all pending matters internally and externally. Challenging and learning opportunities every day. Exposure to some other departments I work with.

Excellent learning curve

Good team players with good communication skills. They help you to learn as much as you can with and help you develop the confidence to do great in your work and support throughout. They also help you to make decisions by allowing you to stand by yourself.

Hard work

Am good candidate and am a hard work. I like working with figures. Am a team player and I can work under pressure.Am an Assets to the Company I got good communication skills. Customer service I got skills I computer,Pastel and Oracle.

Good business practices

Good company to work with if you have the right qualifications. It's a good learning curve for corporate environment. I also invest in you as an employee to be the best you can be. Work life balance is maintained. Regards Pakiso Muzizi

Good company

Good company, senior management could do better, as decisions are made hasty without entire information. Enviornment however is brilliant and worth waking up for each day.

Goal congruency is key

Typical work day: tracking of projects, meeting with manager with feedback on projects. Getting information, analysing information, write up of findings, issues, building models and analysing data in templates. Great relationships with colleagues of different reporting levels. Learnt a lot about agile project management. Challenges are in getting initial buy in and cooperation for projects.

Pros: A lot of learning and good growth opportunity
Cons: Culture that can be stubborn to change
