Excellent learning

It was my pleasure for me to work at warehouse industry. I gain a lot of experience because I was working in different departments. And what I like the most is to help the customers when they come to collect their orders and we had a great team work and a great management.

Cons: we had normal working hours but they ask us if they want us to work long hours when its busy

The company provides an environment that encourages skills development

The organization gives employees the opportunity to build on their skills however there is a lack of career growth opportunities. The organization would be much better if there were more opportunities to grow within career development rather than just skills and staying in same position

Good company to start

Takealot is a fast-paced environment, therefore, you need to adapt quickly to changes. They don't offer any incentives or rewards. The job is good for someone fresh out of high school but someone that needs to support a family and with the rand value in south Africa the pay is not motivating enough.

Pros: Working hours are conducive to the time zone of South Africa
Cons: Hours can be long

Excellent Learning

Its a good company,get to meet different people and know different places, but there are long working hours.there's no day off and we work most in dangerous areas at night.

Pros: Great opportunity for learning new thisngs, get to meet new people with different sence of humor, get to learn how to handle tho who are drunk and those whose sober

A good way to learn the logistic field

Its actually a homely environment where everyone respect each other amd we work as a tram despite the up and down we still manage to see everything through

No learning curve

No growth, they only think about operations , they treat employees badly, racists, they want you to take leave when it suits them, poor health and safety, no toilets inside the warehouse

Great learning Curve.

Takealot was a great space to give me experience in the working world as the shift started at 6am till 6pm or 6pm until 6am. It was a great learning curve in the warehouse industry as it gave me insight on packing and picking and how things are run within the warehouse. The work was pretty basic but yet demanding and straining because of things that were done within the workplace
