Mastering stores

I started working for SASSA 2015 and was assigned to manage SASSA Mpumalanga stores, where in I am ensuring that minimum and maximum stock level is kept. ensuring that precise specification are received from respective cost centers or end-users. advise end-user of lead time for procurement of some items we having no contract for they supply. I also focus on asset management where in I ensure that SASSA Mpumalanga assets are managed effectively. I am very flexible because at some time I assist in Acquisition management. what I have learned in the period of my experience is flexibility and be a team player. Most challenging thing is my job working with end-user who deals submitting specification of critical items and items with a long lead time.

Pros: I have a proven experience in asset and inventory management
Cons: Committment

Great experience

My typical work day goes like i start to work at 07;30 then take my first client whereby a i do a process of screening the client and if he/she has all the necessary documents i proceed to do a grant application then i usually take my tea breaks at 10 o'clock for 15 minutes , i take my lunch breaks at 1 o'clock for an hour and go back to my workstation at 2 o'clock knockoff time is at 4 o'clock. i have a good working relationship with my co-workers i get along with everyone.I have learnt that people are different and they have different needs. i enjoy making a difference in someones live as i administer applications for social grants.the most challenging aspect of my job is that i get to meet people who are living with different types of disabilities and at times that can be overwhelmingg

National Diploma in Human Resources Management

I work with client every day, what I like about my work is that when you that beneficiaries gets grant, I know that i am making difference in fighting for poor of the poorest in South Africa,I administer social pension. in my work i have to be Professional because we deal with difference kind of beneficiaries who are frustrated sometimes. I with co workers during lunch time our work but it limited because it 30 minute lunch. Dealing with different people taught me how to interact with difference background, cultural diversity and how to face challenges. My changing aspects of my job is that when our system is down, it cause backlog which result overflowing of the office and beneficiaries not to get their vouchers in time.

Best team work

My work involves a lot of local travelling and report writing. I'm currently seconded to a project team which inspect Merchants paying social grants on behalf of SASSA. We are a team of five and have good working relationship. We plan our work as a team and ensure that duties are allocated equally. I'm always fulfilled when a plan comes together.
