My name is Thabo Mohlaping I was working at Smollan for Fours my first year I was doing learnership for a year then I was titled as an merchandiser instore.For me being a hard worker I was promoted after three months to become a field marketer. I have learn a lot especially when it come to customer service.Working with Smollan it was good but not the most precious thing I have learned is having intergrity to everyone you work with. The job was to much challenging when it comes to customers.Working hours were not good I am good person co-workers always text me telling me they miss me.What I have enjoyed most their slogan at Smollan what it says If You Green You Grow.Thank you

Good knowledge and skills

When I start work I make sure that everything is in place the packaging on the shelves is in order and merchandise is displayed appropriately. I make sure that goods are received in good condition before unpacking them on the shelves. Maintaining in-store promotional materials as key tasks throughout the day. And maintaining clean and orderly checkout areas.Compile and maintain non-monetary reports and records. I have a good relationship with my colleagues we have a transparent relationship and assist each other were necessary. This assist in building a positive relationship within the company. I have learnt good communication , leadership skills and working well under pressure. I enjoy working with people as I meet different characters everyday and build new customer relationship,builds my confidence in what i do. The most challenging part of my job is dealing with difficult customers which I handle it quite well as customers come first.

Training was issued every after 3-4 months to jelp us with sales and product knowledge

I loked working with people and also working with their products and it was easy and I had all the tools neded and training. I just want to find out if it was fair enough for us to be paid so much for being a Beauty Advisor with so mamy hours in store

I embrace change; I’m thoughtful (past colleagues have been known to call me “strategic”); I am proactive; I champion company culture; I analyse and streamline with a view to improve processes; I love the customer service industry more especially in Sales; I’m willing to take the right risks; I’m full of ideas; I go an extra mile,my account management experience speaks for itself; and I have practical experience within sales and marketing

Pros: A great experience as the company is very broad and the managerial training provided is essential

Numbers

It can be quite informative to listen to an angry customer sometimes .. A happy customer is a happy employer. It does however throw them a bit when I just agree with what they say and solve their query quickly. I have an excellent professional relationship with my co-workers, which gelled relatively pleasantly with the company environment, and the company’s values. People assisted one another. We worked as a team to solve problems and learned new skills to reach our team objectives. I have excelled with my learning opportunities and I developed my skills and experience in numerous different ways . When not all requirements are met or given when placing or processing an order. When people are not communicating in the proper channels & not following proper procedures.

Pros: Leaving at 16H00 every Second Friday
Cons: working until 18H00
