Strong corporate culture and sales training.

I joined Prime Meridian Direct as a graduate trainee. I must say that PMD has taught me a number of things such as communication skills, time management, sales and how to carry myself in a professional manner. The month of July 2017 saw me reach my highest potential thus far with the company as I my name appeared on the company newsletter as the graduate with the highest KPI (Key Performance indicator). I thank PMD for helping reach that mini-milestone and helping me realize the potential within me. However, I feel as it is time for me to look for bigger opportunities and bigger roles as I feel a definite need to take on more responsibilities and roles.

Pros: Strong Corporate culture, good sales training
Cons: Job can feel monotonous and repititious.

Good introduction into the corporate environment

Challenging environment that builds character. A typical day was to meet daily targets from the generated leads and my relationship with co-workers was relatively smooth however there were difficult individuals to deal with, but that comes with the territory. I learnt the importance of equally sharing team responsibilities and the value of being a reliable person which builds rapport and integrity. The most challenging aspect of the job was to meet targets consistently as there were times sales would slow down. How to push through in such times.

Pros: Good for entry level into the corporate environment
Cons: No promotion opportunities

Very good learning curve

Very hard work ut not impossible. PMD call center seniors are very helpful if you have the right attitude. The enviroment can be cut throat, as all sales envirmonents. But with time you adapt to make sales you earn commision, and if you stay loyal to the values, your position is safe.

Pros: Charactor building. If you can survive PMD you will do well in all other corporate enviroments.
Cons: Long hours. Very tough work

Needs passion and persistence everyday

You need to be hard working everyday. Reach daily, weekly and monthly targets both for yourself and the team you are in. Requires a lot of dedication and sacrifice a few Saturdays and your lunch breaks to get to as many clients as possible. You need to stay focused and very determined to succeed.

Pros: Commission
Cons: Commission affected by a lot of things. You can end up not getting any for the month.

Excellent learning curve.

Good relationship with co-workers, good company culture, not many opportunities for promotion. Most challenging aspect of the job is to manage the clients' expectations versus what they they are covered for.

Pros: Good company culture
Cons: No promotion prospects

Excellent Corporate Culture

Great company. However they do not value their employees. It is as good as impossible to earn any commission. The "company" they sell to you during interviews and induction is not the "company" you'll be working in.

Pros: Great starting opportunity
Cons: Long Working hours

I've learnt to work under pressure

My current role has taught me to multi-task but most important is working under pressure. The insurance industry has taught me to be emotionally matured. It is easy to get impatient and annoyed especially in the claims department Howe er being emotionally matured hasught me to not act out of anger or whatever emotion I could be feeling at the time. It is very important to to empathetic and understand what the client is going through.

Pros: Multi-tasking
Cons: Long working hours
