Nissan South Africa Reviews

Interesting learning curve

Nissan is a global Japanese firm. However, the SA plant is very government orientated with a conservative management structure. The industry is taking strain at the moment so it is very difficult to get a job at Nissan or to promote into any position other than what you have been appointed for. They have great benefits if that is something you value. People tend to go back after resigning - the co-workers become like family members and great friendships are formed there.

Pros: Flexible working hours
Cons: Not many promotion opportunity

Nissan review

Nissan is are quality driven company. I have built a great working relationship with the operators, with the understanding that they are the most important people in production as they play a key role in ensuring that units are built according to the standards. I have learnt to work under pressure and take charge for some of the responsibilities in my departments. What I enjoy the most is doing quality checks as part of my job function. These ensures that we don't ship units with obvious defects to the customer. The most challenging part is work and personal life balance. units are built according to joy the most is doing quality checks as part of my job function. When the demand for cars is higher, we resort in working overtime since we only have one shift. company to learn different Great company to learn different functions from other q her

Dream job

My greatest learning has been that whether an encounter is positive or negative i always have something to learn from it. Interaction with people from different fields and backgrounds has been very exciting especially since I studied psychology as a result of my interest in what influences human behaviour. In my office we ensure every employee has the correct skills to carry out their duties effectively and efficiently. My day is filled with interactions with people from different departments and although I have the technical resources (email and telephone), I'm usually meeting with people face to face. The clash between education vs experience is one I welcome because only when the two meet can we obtain the best results.

Pros: Great Skills Development programs
Cons: Safety
