Nedbank limited Reviews

Great experience in a fast paced environment. Have learnt a lot about project management

A typical day in my role consists mainly of progress meetings to follow up on delivery progress and chasing people to deliver on promises and planned tasks. What I have learnt is that relationships are key in my role as they determine how quickly people deliver on tasks. The most challenging aspect is dealing with difficult individuals that have no sense of urgency which impacts time and cost in the project.

Pros: Great culture and stability
Cons: Demanding environment

Excellent learning curve

I am currently employed as a Regulatory Risk Surveillance Officer at Nedbank, where the core function of my role is to conduct compliance monitoring, providing independent assurance on the level compliance within all the Nedbank Retail business units. Previously, I was employed as a Risk and Compliance officer, still at Nedbank, where my core function was to monitor and provide oversight on the adherence to compliance practices within the business unit to ensure compliance risks are managed and reported. fil this role to the best of my ability, and would greatly appreciate it if I were to be considered for this position.

Pros: great opportunities and development
Cons: nothing

I work in an exciting innovative environment.

The environment within which I work is exciting innovative environment with curved balls thrown everyday that have to be solved. Our Corporate and Investment Banking branch is a powerhouse in the Sub-Saharan region. I am privileged to work with the best lawyers in the country on very exciting deals. I really enjoy this interaction. I love working with my deal teams and interact proactively with them daily.

Pros: Really exciting deals and very clever people who drive the deals.
Cons: Glass ceiling within legal department. Top of salary band which does not improve in line with inflation.
