Excellent learning curve

Working at National Health laboratory services was a wonderful experience. The relationship with me and my colleagues was amazing. We worked as a team and respected each other. I have learnt that working with people and clients is extremely important. Also that confidentiality is important. What I enjoyed the most was learning more about medical terms, diseases, procedure on how to work on biopsies coming from hospitals nationally. The only challenge was work overload.

Great exposure and experience

While working for the company I was exposed to great experience and had a chance to interact with patients. I also had a chance to learn new skills like computer literary as I was also helping with administration of specimens, I also learned a lot about covid-19 and how to take quality swabs for testing covid 19. working for the company

Excellent learning curve

I’ve learned a lot working in the laboratory with different reagents, machines that are important for diagnostic purposes and some for prognostic purposes.

Excellent learning curve

a good company to start your career at for growth and development. Very long hours and extensive laboratory work. good relationship with co-workers, friendly and some of them no and Others willing to assist. Improved on laboratory skills and learned new techniques.

I enjoy communicating with stakeholders at various levels, decision making skills and learning more about the job and the research industry itself. I also enjoy dealing with different groups of researchers every year.

I am not getting the right skills I require for my degree

As a student laboratory assistant my priority is to ensure that samples are distributed to different departments correctly such as virology, haematology etc.adhere to sop procedures all the time.keep the work area clean,prepare samples prior to be ran by medical technologist.ensure that the preanalytical processing of specimens is well maintained.ensure that urgent samples are treated urgent all the time.

Current environment

Currently a regional taining manager for large parastatal company in three privinces. I enjoy the responsibility of Learning, development and education of staff members and liaison between universities and universities regarding matters of academic interest to the company. I manage and implent development strategies for development of staff members. Managing training programmes for undergraduate students makes my curreny employment very dynamic. Liaising with the Health professional bodies regarding matter of policy and institutions programme ensure that i contribute to the accreditation of the institution. I freuently liaise with external and internal stakeholders to ensure that the is accurate and speedy communication.
