My learning curve
Daily activities includes: Security reviews, daily stand-ups and risk reporting. We have a rigid work-reporting culture, the people (line managers) they try their best to be there for those reporting under them. However, I still feel the gap between races as well as gender. Though I have learnt to be resilient and determined to achieve

New Challenge
Coming from a retail background of 18 years, joining my current company was a new challenge. Supervising two staff members Receiving and dispatching stock Ensuring daily admin is completed timeously.

Great learning experience
The company is big and there should've been room for growth but the department where I worked was not the best. The executives don't offer same opportunities to everyone. Staff are afraid to speak their mind.

Working well under pressure
Being early and ready and professional , with clear mindset, being a team player and well organised. Learnt to pay attention to detail and prioritise my task accordingly. Enjoyed being challenged as it allows growth even though workload is for more people than one

Excellent company
I typical work day is very unpredictable because of all the things that I am responsible for but I love my job and would not have it different . I enjoy working with my team because of there knowledge and surport . I have learnt that everybody plays an important part of the success that the team achieveds.

Excellent exposure across the group
As the Distribution implementation manager, my role is to influence across functions while driving the group strategy. I work on a range of projects in the BI & inventory planning space, many of which involve setting up the environment, instilling frameworks and driving change. I need to move fluidly from generalist to specialist and analyst to operator.
Pros: Diverse, broad portfolio, group wide exposure.
Cons: Lack of accountability within divisions, therefore struggle to get buy-in at times.
