Enjoyed every moment. Experience gained on projects is immeasurable. Always driving culture. Transition from Dynamique to VIP, was a very exciting period. the initial setup really assisted everyone concerned in better understanding and finding Sage easier to work with.

Excellent way to gain experience

I am a hard working young lady who is willing to learn more and new things every day, I have worked for the company for more than 7 years which I started as a casual until I was promoted to permanent as I started as a cashier in 2008 and worked my way up to the HR office in 2009 to assist the then HR. I completed my safety management training in 2018 with NOSA in centurion n I believe the training I got there will really help me to become a great safety officer. I enjoy working with people more especially being part of a large group in massmart, I have learnt to work with people, know their different types as I was working with adults n me being young and handling their salaries weekly and montlmade me to b more responsible.

Pros: There's a great promotional opportunity
Cons: As a retail company we worked long hours as we have to be in store at 7:30 am until 19:30pm at times

Ability to learn to aspects

- Processing of invoices on SAP for customers. - Liaising with foreign suppliers. - Ensuring all vat is calculated correctly on the invoices as it is different for each country & working with foreign currency to process the invoices. - Processing on SAP for ICI’S on monthly basis. - Learning of foreign rules applicable to a specific country trading with SA. - Preparing & processing of upload journals for all countries. - Preparing of indent documents on a monthly basis and uploading on SAP. - Checking of debit balance of supplier’s accounts. - Reconciliation of supplier statements - Resolving payment queries reflecting on bank statement. - Following anti-corruption process. - GL accounts reconciliations monthly.

Excellent learning curve

It is exciting to be at work. it is challenging and fast paced driven by dead lines. I have learnt to be independent and to be focused and prioritize. I enjoy our team meetings the most because that is where I get to chat more with my coworkers, find out what they busy with, our achievements so far and our plans for the future. the most challenging aspect of my Job is our month end.

Great learning curve

As a Senior Manager in our of the Game stores a day will start by giving the management Team direction as to what they need to improve on a what needs to done on the day. Regular Team meetings are also held to communicate any changes and listen to issues that might promote a good working invironment and also motivate the team. I can say that I really enjoy working for the company over the past 17 years where I stated from the lowest level and worked my up to be the Branch Manager at the store. Unfortunately I feel the need to grow at this level because under the current company that I'm working for, there is not much opportunities to grow from this level. I have been in Senior Management level for the past 15 years, 7 years being a Branch Manager, and I feel it's time I venture out and try other companies or other opportunities to grow.

Excellent leading curve

I am confident that I can bring this level of success with me to your organization and help build upon their reputation. With my previous experience and expertise, I believe my contribution will have an immediate impact on the business. I have a wonderful working relationship with my coworkers, and I have learned alot in administrative such as working on excel and SAP. I enjoy mostly to work with figures and payroll. The most challenging aspect of my job is making sure I reach my deadlines in time.

grew in the compay within the past couple years too much pressure on 1 person work with suppliers, landlords, clearing agents meet daily weekly and monthly deadlines

I have gained an immense amount of knowledge at Mass discounters

My journey at Mass discounters was amazing , I have been exposed to changes in systems , the training programmes , that the company offered grew me as a person and the knowledge I gained was fantastic . We have a wonderful team that we worked with , team work and team spirit was on another level. The challenges in my job brought a different aspect to my day at MDD. I dealt with challenges with country regulation, containers being confiscated and ensuring promotion stock got to stores on time. I always made the best decisions in any situation . I have learnt to deal with situations with patience and tolerance .

Pros: There is alway opportunity for growth.
Cons: The work load is hectic , when staff leave people are not replaced the work is distrubuted amongs existing employees.
