• Performing fault finding and maintenance in the plant • ISO calibration and installing transmitters e.g. pressure, level, Ph, temperature etc. • Installation of solenoid valves, proximity switches and control valves. • Running cable from instrument device to junction) from JB to ABB I/O modules and card in the rack. • Doing breakdowns and calibrations of analytical instruments such as cyanide analyzer etc. • Maintenance of weigh bridge • Maintenance of safety devices such as belt trip alarm, block shoot detector etc. • Reading the instruments from SCADA. • Taking care of Radiation Sources (Radiation Protection Officer). • Calibration of Density Meters, Belt Scale. • Doing standby.

Excellent learning curve

The work is Challenging, Interpretative, Moderately complex and requires me to be Strategic. It requires me to build a motivated and unified performance driven team through participative leadership and management practices.

My career is my passion, not just a job

I enjoy solving problems, I enjoy looking at something and thinking of a practical solution. For example: Alot of our failures is mining, is the "mining culture"." Health sometimes sadly comes last." Using Visible leadership assists with changing these mindsets. We dont just need people who can manage and supervise - WE NEED PEOPLE WHO CAN LEAD.

Pros: Showing UBUNTU, climbing the career ladder, doing what I love, continuously studying

My colleagues are learning much from me

Working with old people oni learn so many fro them because they do have experience experience about the job even if they don't have qualifications, I'll never undermine such person because I get knowledge of how to attack a job and to make it easythe company.

Poor management

Filling in form ,updating and capturing of information on the system filling and ordering of staff,my relationship with other co workers its good at times ,I've learnt to be patient and strong and know how to stand on my own ,enjoyed the most i can likely say because its one job that doesn't challenge me that much .

Great experience

i deal with supliers queries on a daily basis, via email and telephonically,and do my recons. I have very nice co rorkers which makes the day easier, Harmony is a great company but where i am now at the comoany i have reached my peek point,and im still young ,i need growth and development in my career. i have learnt to be calm and patient, im a team player but at the same time i work well indepently,i really lobe what i do,hence i want to develop myself further inthe same career.

Good

The work is good and we work 8hr shift, which is not bad. We have good working relationship with coworkers which is good, I have learn a lot from working at this company. I enjoy working here coz of my coworkers, short payment
