New challenges

I am one of four admin assistants in a school office. I do one grade (R). Everything that has to do with grade R. But a lot of my work has to do with the schools finances e.g drawing and keeping of Financial books and managing petty cash,check book and bank account and other school expenses. Assisting the management teem as well as the school staff. Collecting school fees, capturing daily transactions and keeping the schools strong room. I've learned how use SAMS, its the schools computer programme where everything is being done. I enjoy doing the schools finances which is the most challenging aspect of my job. And I love working as a team with my colleagues.

Learned how to lead and work with different kinds of people on different levels even the public.

The job is challenging and at the same time fun. I learn new things almost on a daily basis and how to deal with different kinds of people, most especially clients who can sometimes be difficult. learned how to report and be responsible and taking care of the whole building even to answering to difficult questions and being a representative of health and safety.

Great platform to learn about school system of Sams

Everyday you learn and assist teachers to use smart technology. Install new programs for teachers laptops, assist matric learners to apply for varsity and bursaries.

Excellent learning curve

Cit is challenging i have learned to be patient and to have sense of humor. I enjoy seeing children loving science and getting good ay ot.hit wWorking with children is challenging on its own, especially high school kids.being an HOD at a young age is also challenging because older colleagues find it hard to listen to a young manager.

Admissions

Love working with people, mostly solving problems and be able to come up with solution. Managing the managers Dairy. Conducting meeting, Incoming and out going mails, Telephonic communications with school, Recording info. Admissions was the best. The challenging was when the parents want the school that has reached its capacity and you will have to go all out

Gov is the best sector to work for you learn so many thing from them.

I was working for GPG in different Department . Participating in most of HR activities; such as policy drafting establishing of centres. My role was to make sure that all deserving candidate are place accordingly. My experience grown more when I was to employee foreign educator and Dr. My heart was so full filled when I was to reinstate a woman who was arrested for 17 after killing a husband who raped her kids. The procase was frustrating but the lady was re-employed

Pros: It was an eye opener.

I am ensuring meetings are effectively organized and minute-Taking minutes.Maintaining effective records and administration-Keeping up-to-date contact details. Filing minutes and reports. Communication and correspondence-Responding to all committee correspondence. Filing all committee correspondence received and copies of replies sent.Creating and maintaining filling documents.Corresponding messages Enquiries emails.Answering phone.Making copies.Printing documents.Office tasks Writing reports and logsheet.

Good environment to build a strong character

Excellent reporting skills, daily administrave duties and Good organisational skills Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills Good computer skills, presentation skills and I am the schools ICT Coordinator Exceptional problem solving skills Self development skills, currently studying and attending work training. Team player when working with co-workers and produce good interpersonal skills Able to speak to large groups, diffesrent ages, cultures and genders Able to multi-task

Excellent learning curve

Nice working environment, nice people. You learn a lot of new things everyday.The atmosphere allows for you to grow and develop while learning. You get exposure to a lot of things while there. You also get to develop your full potential and meet people who are well experienced and have a lot to teach and share.
