• Attending all IT Security incidents logged at the Service Desk. • Deployment of security updates (patches) to GDE environment using SCCM. • Monitoring of Distribution Points (GUPs) to ensure 75% of GDE machines receive updates. • Communicate and work close with other IT teams. • Provide monthly report on patch compliance. • Ensure that machines receive the latest anti-virus definitions. • Conduct IT Risk Assessment to GDE infrastructure and compile a report. • Coordinate Information Security Awareness and Training program to all GDE employees at Head Office and District Offices. • Monitoring of privileged accounts activities, investigate any account abnormalities and provide a weekly report. Assist the IT Security Administrator with operational activities relating to IT Security

Support from Co- workers
Some days we work very hard and have as many parents (clients)and some days we have no work to do Our relationship as co-workers is a very tight one because we ensure that we work together and we ensure that every one is happy with what they do or a task given I have learned to be patient and to be able to understand situations of a clients or an individual I enjoy liaising with schools and other district with regards to placements and transfers i also enjoying taking and solving parents queries telephonically The most challenging aspect of the job is when you are not able to assist a parent in getting space for a particular grade in a specific school because they do not meet the criteria such language or subjects

Raised to top professionalism
Start working at 07:30 and service a wonderful staff that we relate well and perform job satisfied that get measured by performing performance evaluation that is scored at better scores. Over the past 12 years I have learnt a lot from working with minimal supervision and working in the wonderful diverse team. I have learnt that at work you need to excel to give the best client services. What I enjoy is coming to work everyday with passion to serve The most challenging is users who does not log calls to be assisted.

Problem solving
I’m am an independent, young up and coming I.T professional who is goal oriented and passionate about I.T . My area of skills is mainly Microsoft office, troubleshooting, software and hardware maintenance, technical support and System support .I have more than 3 years working experience. My main aim is to gain more working experience, learn and develop my I.T skills.

Excellent learning curve
Teaching Mathematics and Science gave me a good insight in scientific environment and improved my problem solving skills but it didn't gave me the experience that I need in IT field so this is the reason for me to leave teaching

Opportunity for professional development, lifelong learning, emotionally rewarding
As a Physical Science subject adviser/ senior education specialist my job entail: Curriculum management through school visit to check quality teaching, assessment and intervention by Physical Science teachers. Amongs curriculum management the job includes setting of formal assessment like district examination and common School based assessment tasks. The SES can also be appointed as a provincial and/or a national examiner (as I am ) and a marker/senior marker/moderator for marking of national examinations based on content knowledge, performance in the subject and involvement in the growth of the subject (as I am). In addition , the SES has to ensure the maximum performance by teachers by fostering a rapport with teachers so that the support required by teachers can be appreciated
Pros: Professional growth and emotional satisfaction
Cons: Work is not only confined to working days or a working space, seldom work has to be taken home- which can be vert exhausting

I learned a lot on how to handle clients and how to deal with the angry client
My relationship with my co worker is good because we normally do group work but we mostly we work as individually.I enjoy the most because we have been exposed to everything in the office.
