there are many opportunities and for a career growth, but demographic factors delays work opportunities to be implemented in time. there is alot of job safety as well when you get employed as a permanent.

A life changing experience working at this enviroment
My work is challenging everyday working with children that have different disabilities,you learn more everyday on how to assist them. Day to day admin work and reception. Admission and registration of learners, distributing mail memorandums circulars to different offices and personnel. I have learnt how to deal with different disabilities of which some i did not know. The most challenging about this job is that you need to be patient and understanding because you are dealing with learners with different disabilities from different backgrounds and families.
Pros: Learning more about yourself in a different community
Cons: Be available all the time even after hours

Offers a conducive teaching and learning environment.
I have a great team in Maths and Science and it has kept me strong. The learners are a little bit of a challenge as some oof them are very rude. I enjoy obtaining quality results after working so hard and seeing your work paid off. Learners pass despite their home circumstances.

My personal feeling.
I am passionate about education and enjoy it very much. My challenges however include ill discipline from learners, secondly learners enrolled in our TECHNICAL school without proper knowledge of MATHS & SCIENCE. Most learners don't have the capability to perform in TECHNICAL shools. I feel as a skilled Technical individual I am highly underpaid. When I was retrenched at Telkom in 2004, my salary was R27K pm ctc. When I left Huawei In 2012, my salary was R32K pm ctc. I feel stuck in Education, although I can be working as a Educational Specialist in Electronics. I.also seriously considering to migrate to another country to explore better opportunities where my skin colour will not be an issue.

Great learning experience
The lady that works at the receptionist is great and people Rae really friendly and they greet a lot. In the Gauteng Department of Education I've learnt to be independent, work under pressure and getting the job done before the deadlin. Talking to the people who work around GDE. The most challenging aspect is dealing with parents appeals for report cards.
Pros: I can do more than one job within the Department of Education

Best learning platforms
Working there has given me the best experience ever, the staff is so friendly and never under estimate us. Everyday they will be a new challenge at work and that what I enjoy most about working there. Me been there I enjoy working remotely.

Excellent learning curve for my career
It was an excellent learning curve with a lot of experience within the industry to offer. I gained experience in data capturing and other administrative duties such as checking emails and capturing of marks in the SAMS system.

Excellent learning curve
Working as a Mathematics teacher improved my problem solving skills as I always help learners to come up with solutions and integrate that to real life situations
