My current vocation is freelance digital content editor working closely with local and international clients on a wide variety of brands for social media platforms and television. My skillset encompasses cameras, sound, edit, final-mix, media management; social media content editing and includes SEO, Website Editing & Design, PPC Campaigns. This gives me superior technical advantage over most other candidates with similar or limited Digital Content experience in the industry. My 22 year background focused in film/television and digital media working both locally in Africa and in Europe includes research, production, producing, and training, content editing, post producing, social media, Google PPC campaigns and numerous corporate social and multimedia projects.

Great practice to micro-manage your own work.
A workday includes updating and interacting with potential and existing clients across all media platforms. After updating clients and potential clients, I get into the bulk of my day. Drawing up pitches and executing work.
Pros: Good opportunity to work on a wide range of products, with an even wider range of clients.
Cons: People would prefer to work with a company as opposed to an individual. Even if that company is only an individual.

Time management is vital!
As a freelance social media specialist and digital marketing consultant I've learned how to manage my time very well. I know how to multitask to ensure all deadlines are met and client expectations are met and exceeded. I've also learned to wear many hats, for example I know SEO, Adobe CS. I also know when to ask for help with certain aspects of design that I'm not too proficient in. Being a freelancer does get lonely though. I do miss being in an office where you can bounce ideas back and forth to deliver the best result possible.
Pros: You own your time, you can work as long as you want

The film industry is a energetic, exciting and rewarding industry.
Film is a creative medium. Everyone has a creative part to play, including production. This team dissects the budget in order to use as much of it as possible to put on the screen while spending just enough on the behind the scenes logistics. It is a very challenging industry that operates at high-speed. It can make it very stressful and you rely on a professional team to keep the pressure to a minimum.
Pros: High-energy, dynamic and rewarding
Cons: 12+ hour days, 6 day work weeks and no permanency

Great exposure and increase confidence
Its a fast paced industry, where hours are long and at times having to work under unpleasant weather conditions such as rain. Good communication makes it easier to produce in our team. I learn always new ways of bettering my skill from fellow crew members, I gel well with crew and enjoy whatni do-'passionate about camerwork.

Over 20 years of PR and Marketing experience.
I am a hands on manager having lead departments in many sectors. Retail, Fashion, Hospitality... There is a formula that works, working with teams and driving a brand or product forward. I am passionate about the environment and conservation and would like to spend my latter years focusing on the things that really count. I have learnt what the fast fashion industry contributes to landfills and how it harms the planet and have made the conscious decision to not be a part of it anymore. I love people, I am passionate about communication and I use my photography and social media skills to uplift and spread awareness. I work well under pressure and am only too aware of deadline crunch time and manage it well. I hope to be able to put my Marketing and PR experience to work for the better of the human race and the beautiful world we live in. It needs all the help it can get and I have so much to give. Pros: To work successfully with a company you have to become a brand ambassador, walking and talking the ethos of the brand. I have learnt to be accountable and to represent the brand in everything I am and do.
