Employee engagment

A typical work day at Fraser Alexander will start by doing a tool box talk with the employees before the day begins, and through out the day go around the site and inspect if all employees are doing what they are suppose to do, if not coach them on how to do it right and minimize any risk that can come their way. I have learnt that to build a relationship with co workers you must be visible and approachable and that way you will start building a strong relationship with your co workers. The things I enjoy the most is the people that I work with and the most challenging thing at work sometimes is the way that the employees work.

Pros: Freedom to manage your own time
Cons: Call outs and the far traveling distances to the various sites

A competitive engineering outsource space

Vigilance and a sense to know and follow business opportunities before your competition does. A great team of people to know and work with I've learnt that teams achieve more than individuals in the team. Too much travel, maybe the company needs a little more integrity

Pros: Great for hunters in mining environments around the globe
Cons: Working away from home

Different

Frase is a different type of organization to work for. Work life balance is non existent, long work hours and and procedures are made to make a day more difficult. Little opportunities for promotion, salary range low, no to little bonuses and you do not feel like part of the company, more like a number on a payroll.

Pros: Funeral plan for the family
Cons: Work life balance non existent
