Fraser Alexander Reviews

Excellent learning

What I like most is that we always get more challenges day by day with the engineer's.and I like working as a team because the more we unite is the more we come up with different opinions.I like the relationship that we have with my coworkers because we are always there for each other and we are supportive to each other.m eager to learn more on this job because I really love it.the most challenging of the job is when the result are failing and you have to face a stubborn supervisor to redo his or her job because the end up hating you for your job but what I like is that we are not there to make friends

Pros: Quality control
Cons: 9hours

Great learning curve

At a company such as Fraser Alexander you get exposed to a lot of things, working under a lot of pressure, liaison with different departments. The co-workers are the best, there is a good support structure. A typical day in Fraser Alexander starts with getting a strong cup of coffee then pricing any projects that we want to tender for, buying materials for the projects we currently running and helping the finance department with all invoices.

Pros: Great opportunity to grow in your career
Cons: Work load gets crazy

Excellent learning curve

I am a young hardworking individual who is dedicated to civil engineering who is willing to learn new things all the time. I have learnt a lot about working under pressure and being a team player. Creating a conducive working environment for everyone is one of the natural skills I was born with and leading by example. The most challenging aspect to perform at optimum level is working in a site that has clay soil as it is difficult to work for a few days after there has been a heavy rain.

Pros: Vast opportunities to grow
Cons: Long working hours are always there because of inclement weather

The organization will give me a good opportunity to share personal experience over the years.

I am part of the three safety officers and working as a senior. i have an excellent work relationship with my colleagues, co-workers, the client and Fraser Alexander Management. I have learnt throughout my career that team work is very important for excellent performance. I have also learnt that together we can achieve more. The most valuable suggestions can be obtained from the workers on the shop floor. the most challenging part of my job is escalating incidents, especially repeat incidents.

Pros: Fraser Alexander offers a variety of fields across its divisions. The scope of learning is broad.
Cons: Working odd hours during incident investigations

Company Promotes independence

The work I do here has a lot of pressure and is very challenging. I have learned to work independently but also depending on my colleagues' cooperation to fulfill my job. the most challenging part is that since we changed systems we don't have accurate/consistent deadlines, head office just sends an email and they say they need reports the next day or same day, but with time we've learnt to work around that. What I enjoy most is working with people and being able to sort out people's issues in payroll.

Pros: Great potential for growth
Cons: I need to relocate to Nelspruit because of family
