Very excellent working curve
It’s good working at eskom rotek industries as I’ve started as an apprenticeship until I qualified as an mechanical fitter and also enjoyed bein around the company a lot because it was easy working with everyone at any department also you would feel if you’re absent from work while busy with other personal staff like family matters but overall it was a nice experience at eskom and I’ve enjoyed my years there as I’ve made lot of contributions to the company and made friends who didn’t want m to leave after my contract expired with the company,I’ve learned o lot of things at eskom as maintenance,refurbishment,assembly,disassembly,measuring with different measuring equipments with an eye of supervision

Hugh gain of experience
It is more like you own your own department, cause you fully responsible of your own work. Typical work day-mornings its feedback report meeting After its a toolbox talk about working safely, and planning a days work and getting updates and feedback or follow up on yesterday's work, great relationship with coworkers that one needs to maintain because our work depends on each other, i have learnt to take initiatives and be accountable of my work and to be tough in business, and i have enjoyed the workplace environment very much, very friendly and my work, challenges back to back meetings and chasing deadlines, thanks

I love and leave Safety.
I love working with people, interacting with people regularly it helps to understand their mindset about Safety in general. People are harmful because they're the one's that are exposed to work/physical envolved, therefore it is important to provide them with awareness and training in order to change their mind set.
Pros: Hard working and willingness.
Cons: Long working hours due to target.

Extraordinary experience, skills and knowledge
I'm working as a Transport Coordinator in the biggest company that runs Eskom projects on all power stations in South Africa. I coordinate and expedite all vehicles which are transporting all employees on projects with the assistance of project Expeditors and Projects Managers. My job description includes Documentation, inspection, maintenance, and report writing to senior management about transport weekly. With my ten years experience I know I am a highly motivated and experienced woman.
Pros: ready for a senior position
Cons: I also do call outs on weekends and after hours

Good learning curve
Attend toolbox talks, meet with managers and stakeholders to discuss project feedback. Meet with project managers, engineers to gather information in executing projects. Review documentations, draft specification, reports and presentations as a result. Work with teams or individually, can communicate effectively with all level colleagues and overall have a good relationship with all my colleagues. I have learnt that change difficult for employees however gaining colleagues trust and ensuring that they feel as though their contributions in my projects is impacting the organization positively ensures that they all play their part and accepts change more readily. I enjoy identifying problem areas, recommending and implementing solutions. The most difficult aspect about the job is ensuring that managers and stakeholders are able to meet with me to discuss projects because they are all extremely busy.

Learning Curve
Working for ERI was great because everyone was welcoming. Which made everyday easier to deal with. But there was no room for growth was not their because there was no space to become innovative. We worked 7 to 5 weekdays and saturdays.

Excellent learning curve
Through 5 years with this company I have learned a lot as an operator aswell as a she rep. Toolbox, risk assessments SMAT, nearmisses are the things I got to know the importance of them. Team work on a day to day work is what keeps up going. Challenges of the plant differ on daily basis but yes some days are critical but reporting and detecting the problems helps to overcome the issues. My job needs 12 hour concentration on the plant but I still enjoy doing it. Great supervision and communication are the keys to success

I have more than 20 years working experience. I am a qualified Turner by trade, qualified in August 1995 in Olifantfontein. I have Matric certificate. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering fron Johannesburg Technical College, B Tech in Quality from Technikon Witwatersrand, Diploma in Operations Management from UNISA. MBA from MANCOSA.

Good exposure and experience acheived
Working for Eskom Rotek Industries has opened my mind with regards to safety and all that one deals with in the workplace. The exposure of working on the turbine has given me the knowledge of the mechanical side of things. Working with a number of people in the same work environment taught me how to deal or handle different people of different race, age and gender. Working as a team and ensuring to watch each other back at all times, taught me that even though we as people might different views, there still things that bring us together without having to be different at the same time Unity is what i enjoy the most because even when things go a little difficult, we still pull together out of bad/ sad situation The most challenging aspect is when there is an injury, a serious injury because that alone takes everyone's morale down.
