Excellent learning curve.

The workspace is great with people from different backgrounds who bring a wealth of knowledge. the company is growing fast and gives and opportunity for the growth of its employees. Each site is unionized, and having to deal with union reps daily is a challenge. the good part is that we have a good relationship and are able to solve issues within a reasonable time and correctly. communication plays a big part of this job, and you need to constantly communicate and give feedback. I have learnt to be resilient. I have grown and learnt a lot in this position mentally.

Pros: Great company for growth and experience
Cons: low salary

Big company corruption at its best.

You work very hard then get another person "senior" taking all the credit. No recognition or whatsoever. No growth, long hours, unnecessary changes of management and appointment by favours.

Pros: The people are very welcoming
Cons: Long hours,horrible management,no growth,limited opportunities.

Its great to see how other companies operates compared to where i have been for most of my career

DHL Is an Internationally recognised Supply Chain Company with its operations in over 60 countries.. It is a fast paced environment where the day starts as early as 6am and ends at 10:30 pm meaning a person is prone to work longer hours. The relationship with co-workers has been great as I am a people's person. It is for the first time that I am exposed fully blown to Employee Relations and really enjoyed working in IR/ER. I cant say I have learnt much because focus is much on production and reaching targets.

Pros: Employee Opinion Survey recetly introduced
Cons: No balanced application of Employment Equity Policies

Excellent learning curve

A good company to work at especially to get an exposure in werehouse. Working hours are good. You get time for family. Work 5 days a week and weekends is over time. And you only work over time when there is production scheduled for that weekend. They do have nice overtime. There is no mach benefit beside overtime. No medical aid.

Pros: They have good working hours
Cons: Slim chance of moving up in position

I have learned how to use the scanner to count stock.

The company was operating from 6 to 6 and there was also a night shift working days. I was working four days a week which two days during the day and two days during the night. The relationship between me and my co-workers was good because we were working as team to make the production in the company. i have learned that if you are worker u need to communicate along with team and so that your will be a strong bonded team and that is what i am enjoying most. The most challenging aspects is when the co-workers are not getting along amongst each it is going to make a disaster in the team and the production will drop.

Pros: none
Cons: 12 hours working and 1 hour lunch

Excellent learning curve

Working there was a great opportunity for me to meet new people and know lot of places. The industry taught me a lot about logistics and warehousing. My relationship with the workers was great I understood how they operated on regular basis and they enjoyed my company also. I learnt a lot at DHL especially in the warehouse, were you have to pick items and know them by names and item numbers and how important it is to work under pressure. What I enjoyed the most is Data Capturing 'cause it taught me how to be quick and how to work well under pressure. The most challenging aspect of the job was tracking the tracks of which it took me two months to know everything about tracking the vehicles. I'm grateful that I've learnt a lot there at DHL.

Pros: Great opportunity for growth
Cons: Long working hours
