Interesting environment riddled with a lot of incompetences
Environment would be better if it was people centred. Currently I do not experience this. Another problem is that people do not managetheir work effectively, such that it affects my input in reporting. I do not see people with a respect fot timelines. This makes it harder for those who await their work as input. It is disheartening if you have sent a schedule, reminder emails and even calls and yet still are delayed.

Amazing company. exciting opportunity and learning opportunity
Great place to work for. Excellent opportunity especially for young black women. A company that believes in social development amd a hand to assist where possible. Great opportunities for Logistics professionals and also for Finance professionals. Lots of opportunities for growth and success. Culture driven and diversity is respected amongst all employees Lots of respect and open minded

No room for growth
I have lean a lot fom DHL and have to explore somewere else , i am eager to lean new things and go extra miles. I am interested in this position as i believe i have the necessary skills and i am a fast learner.

Fast learner
Pros Stable and growing company with great core values. Decent pay, great benefits, good family atmosphere, strong leadership. Cons It's not located in an urban area, lack of flexibility in terms of working from home. Advice to Management Keep being humble, over-communicate, be open minded. Need to do even more in terms of corporate social responsibility and contributing to the local community.

I am is a trustworthy, focused and dedicated person. Always up for a challenge and is fully capable of delivering good results. The Technical support training and knowledge that I have gained through the years will be highly asset to your company. I am also project oriented when it comes to mini project and a good support within a team work. I also believe that am always learning and updating myself with the latest technology in market to serve my clients/customer best.

Opportunity to be exposed to different department for more knowledge and information
My work can be very hectic at time in such a way that I can work extra hours in order to keep the line moving. Everyone gets to assist each other if needs be, even if they are not from the same department. What i enjoy most is when i get to investigate the problem and get to practice my lean tools such as the root cause analysis(fishbone). The most challenging part of the job is when we have to work extra hours with less time to rest.

Excellent learning curve
Very chaotic environment - sink or swim - no documented quality system or documented procedures in place towards changes made to the system - system changes frequently - no team building exercises - no unified / team atmosphere- I resigned from my previous employer last year September in Europe to return to SA with my family in order for my son to obtain medical treatment, but I hardly see my family as I have been working myself to a standstill trying to get to know and undersand the NON-EXISTING production line / warehousing system. I miss my old job and value the 19 years I had with mystaff and coworkers. DHL I will always be grateful for the oppurtunity to work in SA again so my son could get treatment but it is genuinely the worst job environment I have ever had. No office. No basic necessaties such as a microwave. I only received a laptop a few onths ago. I have received absolutely no training for their systems and applications on my device. Its very bad

Cons: Very long hours in a very chaotic environment with no hope for any future systems being put into place. No quality system, no documented procedures, no gemba meetings or team building exercises or any form of staff unification

New challenges.
I am a hard working individual that has grown with DHL. I have worked in every department in my 19 year career with DHL. I communicate well with my staff. I have learnt to adapt to changes as Supply Chain is ever changing. I enjoy challenges and staff engagements. Working for DHL has given me a lot of experience and exposure in warehousing, Transport and Finance aspects.
Pros: New challenges in a growing company.

What I enjoyed about my job
Making a difference in peoples lives be it a customer or staff. Customer -delivering a stent for a heart operation. Family contact you to thank you. Staff - Promoting staff , today 3 of my staff are in management and 4 of my staff studied Social Responsibility - Even after I left DHL the stuff continued with the helping the needy

Learned many things
I work 12 hours a day on a 4day shift and only have 2 days to rest that is why we easily get so tired and working environment is great as there too many opportunities for growth and managers treat us with respect, and we have a daily target that we have to meet when we do our cycle count which is 4500 bins a day.
Pros: Opportunities for growth are there.
Cons: Shifts are abnormal
