HARD WORKER, FAST LEARNER, PATIENT AND SELF CONFIDENT PERSON

I AM A HARD WORKER AND I AM VERSY FAST TO LEARN NEW THINGS SUCH AS COMPUTER SYSTEMS, AND SINCE I HAVE STARTED TO WORK ON THIS DEPARTMENT I HABE LEARNED A LOT ABOUT FINANCE SUCH AS BANK RECOCLIATION, DAILY BAK RECON, FLOAT ALLOCATION AND CASHUP, AND MONEY MANAGEMENT (BANKING OF ATATE MONIES) OD DAILY BASIS. I AM VERY FRIENDLY TO MY CO WORKERS AND ALWAYS SMILLING TO EVERYONE. MY BEST CHALLANGE THAT I EVER CAME ACROSS WAS WHEN MY ONLINE SYSTEM WAS OFFLINE FOR TWO WEEKS AND CLIENTS WERE IN NEED OF THE MONIES. AND WHAT I ENJOY IS TO SERVE THE PUBLIC .

Pros: PROMOTED FROM COUNTER CLERK TO MAIN CASHIER FROM 2016 TO DATE

Excellent learining curve

A typical work day I work from 8am to 4pm daily. My job entails ensuring that the Magistrates Court runs smoothly with all the resources needed. Your relationship with co-workers I have a good working Relationship with all my collegues. I have learnt from them and visa versa. What you have learnt When i started working for the Department of Justice, i had no prior experience. I have learnt alot about procurement and public Admin. What you enjoy most I've enjoyed the learning experience and working with people The most challenging aspects of the job Its not always easy to work with the Public. Some problems can escalate to due to misunderstandings. Managers are not always on board to assist which can be a challenge. Thats when problem solving skills kick in.

Pros: GREAT LEARNING EXPERIENCE
Cons: NO PROMOTIONS OR OPPORTUNITY TO GROW

It's a good learning curve about the Justice System

My current job is almost like a routine. I get to work and prepare work for the next day before I continue with work for the day in court. It has its challenges but most of the time it's the same challenges and different people. It's challenging at the beginning but than you get used to it and the stimulation disappears. The relationship with co-workers is good. The excitement is not there anymore. The most challenging part about my job is being under equipped to perform my duties and working conditions are a health hazard

Pros: 13th cheque
Cons: No opportunity for growth

Looking to relocte and something better for myself and my sons

Work starts at 07:45 am, we will screen emails that came through during the night or after we left. We are two in the office so we will split duties, Current month is my month for court rolls, I do all rescheduling, all the issuing of summons (divorce matters), if public walks into the office we find out the issue and direct them accordingly I have learnt a lot about children's rights act. I used to enjoy the diversity or people and matters we deal with however its become most demanding as everyone thinks we owe them something Most challenging is that I am mostly forgotten by my manager so I work all alone mostly and I am last to find out about things as they forget my office exist.

Pros: Learning about child law
Cons: Working for goverment people tend to think you are set for life

Working at the department of justice was great because since I was a student I learnt a lot about their department, they taught me many things and how its like being in the environment. I was rotated to many departments for me to gain knowledge. I did not only gain communication skills, but also I knew how to work with different kinds of people and learned how to use computer systems.

Pros: great opportunity for sales
Cons: long working hours
