I'm a quick learner. I work hard. I work smart. I work passionately and I am an effective leader.

On a daily basis I arrive at work at 6.30am. I check the progress from my teams on the ground. I update that progress for reporting purposes. I then follow up on thr equipment that should have been configured and shipped. I confirm that the equipment is at the site by communicating with stakeholders. I then schedule technicians accordingly, taking into consideration the distance they have to travel to get to a site, and any other logistics. Thereafter I create a tentative schedule for the next day. I chase things that are not completed with the internal teams. I then manage the issues log from different provinces and try to solve/close as many as possible. This sometimes requires stakeholder engagement.

Excellent Learning Curve

Great company. Great staff. Great managers. A lot of growth potential and an excellent Learning curve. Good company benefits including medical aid and provident fund (the company does not pay for this) A stepping stone for more growth in other departments.

Good learning curve

working at my company is very good IT technician my relationship is superior with my co-workers we more like one big family I enjoy working with them they make me laugh I've learnt how to communicate and how to build a relationship with different types of people and what is mean to work as a team. The thing i enjoy most is the service that we all week days on our lunch we praise God together Most is the communication and lack of material

Good experience

Datacentrix was very demanding and had excellent challenges which provided growth. Each day I dealt with different clients supporting a number of users. I was a 1st line engineer as well as a operator. Would work shifts of 12hours on the regular. The platform was great and needed one that is willing to learn.

Excellent learning curve

I first started working at MWEB for 2 years as a Technical Support engineer, which included helping customers to connect to the Internet,setup emails. After got a job offer at Datacentrix but was based at Virgin Active. It was a wonderful experience I learnt to work as a team. We were on first line support for all Virgin Active around SA. I enjoyed working with the team and individually it was a wonderful and amazing experience.After 2 years I then moved to Johannesburg and was based at Pearson Midrand, it was also a great experience because as much as we were a team but I learnt to be responsible because I was responsible for sites, which was a bit of a challenge but I had nice experience.

From what i have learnt i am ready to face an outside world and be the great asset

I am working as IT junior technician for datacentrix,but placed in public hospital.working in public sector has groomed me professionally since i would also assist even on personal related issues since i am known to be an advance person on site.i learnt a lot about their transversal systems they use and also the most challnges they come across on daily basis and try to minimise.I have good relationship with my clients we cooperate positively as i interact with them daily, that helped me develop strong communication skills.I like the job i am doing because i grow and explore new things everyday which enhances my skills and knowledge.The most challange is network connectivity as it would be slow or not at all.and that as well thought me about working under pressure since i m the only IT person on site,i will have to follow up with ISP until it gets up again.

Pros: The opportunity for promotion in this company is very slim since the position is contract.The company is in with contract with departmemt for certain period .after that period its terminated.If they decide to renew it would be on same position which makes it to grow or to get promotion.
Cons: the working hours are 40 hours per week.you extend on your own when there is too much work .

First Job Experience

A typical working day starts at 8:00 AM. I give myself about 15 minutes of settling in (making coffee, connecting laptop and checking any emails I missed the previous day). I start working around 8:20 starting with work due on the or continue with my the specifications I write. I have a good relationship with my co-workers, I know how to talk to them about almost anything. I make them laugh sometimes. I have learnt to appreciate being around people and be able to work and respect everyone regardless of their age and background. I have also learnt to give myself a chance and not limit myself because I'm a Junior. Being independent is what I've also learnt. I enjoy being recognized and the fact that I was able to build a good relationship with my co-workers. I also enjoy being put on the spot and have to do some work by myself and figure everything out.

Pros: An opportunity to kick start my career
Cons: Something I over-relax if there isn't work to do
