KEY TO THE FUTURE
mDamelin is a private college, with over 17 campuses owned by Educor (the Education Investment Corporation Limited) group. It was founded by Benjamin Damelin in 1943. Despite offering Degrees, diplomas and other higher qualifications. Damelin is the oldest and most profitable education subsidiary owned by Educor. Through its International affiliation network, Damelin also allows South African based learners a channel with which to obtain qualifications, licenses and certificates conferred by various International organisations. Research revealed that individuals who studied at Damelin and attained their qualifications there were more likely to be hired than individuals educated elsewhere due to the fact that Damelin qualifications satisfy both the vocational and the professional requirements of both the marketplace and students. Damelin indeed live up to its Motto and I am proud to be associated with an institution of such magnitude.

DAMELIN ACCOUNTS CLERK November 2016 – Present • Reconciles and capture bank statement daily and allocate payments • Compile credit note, refunds and load debit orders on the system • Compile and capture journal entries on accounting system • Collection of fees and Monitor customer accounts for non-payment and delayed payment and make payments arrangements • Payments of creditors. Prepare purchase order and cheque requisitions for all purchase order approved by head office • Perform filing and general administrative tasks • Processing invoices for payment. Ensures that invoices are accurate • Control of petty cash

Intriguing learning experience
Being a volunteer at Damelin college was a very fascinating experience one would ever go through. My typical work day was very mellow with less distraction. It gets to educate and prepare you for the real time experience experience in real companies which I’m most definitely eager to be at the moment. Setting student access in the computer labs was the most amazing experience I’ve ever had.

Currently lecture students across all commerce related modules
Lecturing on a daily basis to students across all commerce related disciplines Marking assignments,tests and examinations Moderating fellow colleagues tests and assignments Invigilation during assessment period. Monitoring and recording of student attandence Exchanging and engaging ideas with management and staff for the upliftment and development of academic material

Life at Damelin
Mostly relaxed as my co-workers are self-sufficient. I have learnt many IT disciples most of all to work to a deadline. I enjoy taking on new challenges as they cause me to grow in effectiveness. I have to say that the most challenging thing is to manage last minute decisions

Free education to staff
I can says it is very good work environment where by you can share your life with the coligues and also you can be develop your skills through traing and attanding workshops, Damelin is very big institute where you deal with number of students who which to archive their accademic qualifications and there is lot of achiements that i aleady gained through training.
