I have grown a lot in the last 2yrs. Being involved for the second time in the sourcing and Implementation of an ERP System. Got along with colleagues. They were receptive to new ideas. Exciting to see company grow every month with new changes implemented. Relaxed environment. Very non-corporate.
Pros: Great people; devoted; hard working
Cons: Distance; Buildings are old; Roads dusty and bumpy

Review
Working at Barloworld was a stressful experience, in my department we were left with little support and guidance and had to fend for ourselves. While we were capable of keeping the wheels turning and were able to provide support to our users, there was little opportunity to come up with continuous improvements or to optimize processes' don't think that our leaders understood the transport business and we were thus sold to another company.

Cons: Working in silo's, little collaboration between teams

I work for barloworld transport I have more than 7 years of experience in the transport i call for tyre brakedowns do maintenance services major and minor weld repair.. I help my foreman time to time

Politics and unfairness are the order of the day
A former shadow of it's glorious self. Too many politics and unfair treatment of subordinates by insecure inexperienced Managers. The only way you will be recognised or considered for any promotion is if you know someone in high places or you suck up hard enough. The company is undergoing transformation and that has revealed even more shocking truths of the injustices/improper methods of filling of positions in years past. Am praying to God for another job... this experience has to be the worst in my career so far. Apologies if the review puts a damper on others hopes...but the truth is the truth
Pros: Still thinking...
Cons: Environment, parking space terrible, canteen expensive and open space offices. Lunch break only half an hour-in an industrial area that's not enough time to travel to and from shops.

I am dedicated to my work,very ambitious with 14 years of Logistics experience.
I have had 14 years’ extensive experience in logistics operations; from aviation fuel, automotive fuel, solvents, and bulk alcohol and car carriers. In all the 4 companies I have worked in, starting from Shell Aviation, Toyota Tsusho, Unitrans Fuel Agric and Mining and now Barloworld Transport, I have had a lot of operations and logistics admin experience that came with different operational functions. I have also had a tremendous experience with man management and SHEQ policies and implementation from company to company. I like to take initiative. I possess a high-level of professional conduct and with effective communication skills. I am also loyal, reliable and good with figures, results driven and capable of dealing with people at all levels. I am dedicated to my work and very ambitious. I am very competent with Microsoft Office with a strong willingness to learn and to adapt to change.

Good Experience
It great Opportunity to work for company like Barloworld, Where by you get opportunity to develop yourself as person and as an employee. Personally on myself as i started from bottom to prove myself till to date i have given the opportunity to move around the company.
