Aveng Trident Steel Reviews

EXCELLENT LEARNING CURVE

My work style is extremely flexible – working on so many different projects requires me to be adaptive. In general, I try to work on one project at a time, working as quickly but efficiently as possible to achieve the highest results. All of my projects require collaboration, so I use the team environment to check for errors. I am a perfectionist and a driven worker, and I think my clear communication skills allow me to bring out the best in any team, in any project. I am extremely dependable. I have rarely missed a day of work, and am known for coming in early and staying late to finish important tasks and achieve results. This dependability extends to my collaborative work as well. I always meet deadlines and help my teammates to meet theirs as well. For example, on my last project, a teammate was struggling to complete his assignment for the team, and I stayed late every day that week to help him not only complete his assignment but exceed our initial estimations for the project.

Pros: GREAT OPPERTUNITY FOR PROMOTION
Cons: LONG WORKING HOURS

Exellent learning curve

I was a machine operator and I was a team leader with a good and strong relationship with co workers. I have learned a lot in 9 years that I have worked with Aveng, I was a safety rep, incident investigator and I chairman of green cross meetings. I started as a packer and I have reached operator level that I enjoyed as I was meeting different people and different challenges. The most challenging aspect is when I become an operator of press feed line using different panels both computerised and hydraulics.

Pros: great opportunity for expanding
Cons: long working hours

From working as a general worker and building myself up and now working as a Warehouse Supervisor.

My typical work day is just about average, especially Monday's and Friday's those two days are my busiest of all. We have trucks coming in from the mill and our head office in JHB. We also have import vessels docking at the Port Elizabeth and Coega harbour bring in raw materials. My relationship with my internal customers that's my co-workers we communicate on a day to day basis because of the material that has to be booked in to SAP must first be processed by me before it goes to production. I learn everyday something new and that makes my job more exciting always because I enjoy what I do every day. My most challenging aspect of my job is when the sales team needs all their stock to be receipted when the material haven't even arrived yet and then I must get in contact with the transporter and liaise on the ETA of the material.

Pros: It's been a fantastic experience, but I feel that I've learned everything I can in my current position and I love to be challenged, so I think it's a good time to move on.
Cons: I can't see any place to advance within the organization,

I have been upgraded by getting lessons on the position I was holding.

I prepare a job at hand for the day and planning on how to excecute it and as a team leader communicate with my team as we had a wonderful relationship on how to start and conclude our daily duties. I have learnt that being humble and treat co-workers equally brings peace and makes the job easier. At the company I enjoyed the company and the treatment by the management and the employees on how they encourages all of us everyday and make us feel safe and giving strength to excecute our daily job. Te most challenging aspects of the job is when you face shortages of absencetism, and the breakdown of tools as it leads to job pilling and deadlines not met.

Pros: I got promoted three times, to checker, supervisor and warehouse coordinator.
Cons: 13 hours working overtime.

Knowledge for SAP system

My work is to make sure that the stock is well packed according to safety standard The challenge is when you receive special orders that you don't have allocation area for, so as a warehouse personnel you have to come up with a plan, so that you as well pack the stock safely. And i also do enjoy being in control of my stock knowing what is where and why is there. I have learn that you must have good relationship with people you work with.

Pros: There is great opportunity for skill development
Cons: We work nomarl hour but when there is oeders that can late and need to be delivered we arrange for some people to help complete the order.
