I looked after a large book of personal clients. I was doing all aspects of understanding and help with claims. Any assistance with the portfolio I did. Doing marketing where needed.

Great opportunity for learning working conditions in the financial sector
-Very busy deadline driven in terms of monthly tasks -Daily tasks very unpredictable; although driven by tasks at hand like claims -Dealing with member enquiries not limited to own clients -Sound relationship with co-workers and assisting each other as best we could -The casual although professional atmosphere in the office

Looking forward to new challenges
the company is a large financial services organization. No two dats are ever the same. being in facilities more people know me than I know. I have a good relationship with co-workers, "clients" all staff in various buildings as well as management, of all levels. My learning is ongoing and everyday presents new challenges. I am very eager to learn and love that even though there are repetitive processes, there is always new challenges. Facilities is an exciting field to be in as the industry is constantly evolving. I'm really excited to see the total evolution of the industry.
Pros: inhouse facilites is vey exiting and close handle on operations
Cons: not haveing standard hours which could sometime require out of normal office hours call outs

Innovative environment
I look forward to being at work as I believe my services add value to the daily running of the business. My main daily responsibilities involve controlling,assessing and managing IT changes that are being implemented in our systems required to improve system performances and ensuring minimal business services impact. My team is united and work towards achieving common team goals and service excellence. In this FSP industry,there is a vast amount of core applications needed by the business and daily managed and maintained by our IT team. I am on a daily basis learning the function of each application as I deal with the requested changes to the systems, that brings out the excitement in me for gaining new knowledge which will equip me in better assessment of RFCS. The most challenging part in me being in this department is sticking strictly to the rules and processes as this often create resistence to adherence of the processes by the change requesters.

Excellent learning curve
I am grateful to my company for giving me an opportunity, I had been provided with an opportunity to sell and administer short term insurance which I did not have experience in even though I had experience is long term insurance. I feel the need to grow within the industry now.I enjoy working with clients , I have good communication skills and always calm under pressure as a result that makes it easier for me to overcome challenges I face on daily basis. On daily basis I am expected to build relationships either by phone or face to face with clients, that is the most part I enjoy about my job. I can work individually , I am also a team player.
Pros: flexibility on the job, you get to negotiate the hours in the office there is also and advantage of working other hours from home.
Cons: company processes to close a deal , as a result it delays the process of making money.

Finance Sector will provide me my future opportunities
A typical work day begins at 6am everyday, it is very busy until 9:30, after that the other part of the job starts, which is sort out issues, and think out of the box to mitigate the factors leading to these issues. Relationship with Co-workers is ideal, real team work spirit plus real leadership. I have learnt a lot already in those 2 years, Studying CFA and some extra experience in the financial field has improved my skills and I have become in a short period of time a specialist in what I do. I most enjoy working with numbers, and solving problems. The most challenging part is the early wake up in the morning.

Cons: Because it is a big company, the pay is not so well, and you feel diluted within the rest

Excellent learning curve
Long hours, good wellness programmes. Good managers. Team work. Training programmes. Wonderful lunch area and cafeteria. Gym and personal trainer. Pressured environment. Fast paced.

Career Growth
I basically make business easier for the financial planners to go overboard of their targets by planning and organising the compliance and new business documents needed to either initiate or finalise new or existing business. As per my personal work ethics together with the company`s reputable name, I deliver in accordance to the Act involved, the company image and the best interest of the Client. I work as individual on my designated daily work as well as team with the financial planners and my fellow assistants when I need clarity on other cases as I learn from their strategies and approach. I enjoy working towards targets as I feel better with a little of completion and pressure.
