I enjoyed working with the team and I also enjoyed because they not selfish with knowledge.i learn that they are jobs which you can't do Alon and needing help is not failing . typically injuries happen in all companies even though we learn about safety.

Plant maintenance and project management

The company has been there for some time. It deals with aggregate products that are essentially mined and processed in the plant. The company has alot of opportunities for young aspiring engineers or other professionals. The company also has a structure which allows one to grow within the business.

Good experience and exposure

My work day start with review of previous day plants reliability performance .I have a great relationship with all coworkers from executives to lower level staff. I . The flat structure of my organisation has helped me to be exposed to many technical facets which I will not have experienced had it been in a big organisation

Work day review

Typical Day - 1st check for emails that are urgent or important, continue on with projects. assist users where needed Relationship with co-workers - very comfortable and open Leant - over the years have learnt how to deal with many difficult situations and how to work under pressure, meet dead lines Enjoy most - the freedom to make decisions and see a project completed and operational Most challenging - having to manage a geographical out lay of the business and handling many challenges simultaneously

Pros: your time is your own and to be managed well
Cons: long hours and need a wide knowledge base (more of a pro)

Good experience acquired

I perform maintenance in all electrical equipments,fault find any electrical equipment and circuit. I have a good relationship with my co workers and assist them when they struggle and they are always willing to help me. I enjoy fault find and attending to breakdowns as I learn more. Having to fault find while there are no electrical drawings and flow chart it's challenging but it gives ones exposure to check his ability.

Pros: Can relieve as a team leader whenever I am asked

I've learnt alot at this company and gained alot of experience. Sad to leave due to my contract ending but won't say no to a opportunity if one opened for me

Great learning experience

The industry is a great opportunity for a learning experience in the mechanical side of engineering World.. we learn more on how to plan for up coming maintenance,the process of starting working after safety measures have been taken .

Excellent learning curve

I have completed B-Tech in Mechanical Engingineering and also registered with ECSA as the candidate Technologist. In my current role I am involved and handling major responsibilities as planning routine maintenance on plant machinery and equipment , remotely diagonising and overseeing the all the repairs,carrying out emergency maintenance,using computerised system to schedule the works,working with the other engineers,team leaders and superintendent within the company, carrying quality inspection, controlling the maintenace costs and commissioning guidelines.
