I have worked for almost four yes for AELMS, I have a lot on how work independently and as well as with a team. Being given opportunity to act as supervisor has taught me a lot of leadership skills. I really love and enjoy working for AELMS.

Great training % developmnt offered by the company
The most pleasurable aspect about my job is the training that forms part of my main duties and an implementer of the quality management system. Also the allowances that comes with travelling. The most challenging aspect on the other hand is the organisational culture that is resistant to change and any new thing proposed.

Working for an international company
The key to working to an international company is about building relationships. The initial bond is that we all have a common goal, working towards company goals. Once that is clear, building the bridge between cultural backgrounds, language and communication channels makes it easier to navigate the terrain. Finding commonalities with different personalities and ensuring that communication is always understood makes working in such an organization interesting. Most days start off with clearing emails and processing bank transactions. Then it’s monthly duties such as GL recons and processing journal vouchers. The key to making work interesting is the team dynamic. I have found this to be great within my current company and this has opened up opportunities to learn for different individuals. Biggest lesson learnt has been around being an proactive individual, working under pressure and learning about how to anticipate challenges before they occur.

Learning brings growth
Working in a control room responsible for handling emergency calls was a great time engagement with clients. Taking call and responding to the scene of accident was communited in a speed of one ability to save life. Written reports daily and work with stake holders

I learned tricks in blasting
Allocation of payment to accounts - clearing according to the remittance, send a credit limit list to sales, collections and resolving queries. I have a very good relationship with my colleagues, we trust each other and we back each other up. I learned a lot about patience and letting others help me, I also learned not to take things personal. I enjoy collections ,recons and building relationships. Collecting from a customer that is rude and swears you on the phone.

Good working envronment, flexable working hours and good benefits
Typical working day at Ael included pre shift meeting where we talked about the last shift production, faulty encounters with the plant, etc. What I enjoyed most from working there was how co-workers lovely and cooperative with one another, how production would be in-monotonous and would require you to analytical solve problems. Other thing the managerment always acknowledged our efforts and gradually rewarded us. The where NQF/NCV level programs where you can advance your skills and advence your career. It was a well earthical work place where you felt no form of discrimination.

Learning and growing
My duties as a Logistics controller at AEL include the following : Manage utilization of assets, carry out weekly inspections of the Northern Cape storage areas, reconciliation of delivery notes and raw material receipts, ensure operators and assistants are deployed according to the schedule on daily basis, manage all raw material stock levels and orders, schedule of maintenance of assets and report deviations
