With the working hours and working conditions Aberdare is a good training company as an apprentice I've learnt a lot from the machines and fellow co workers.

Excellent learning experience

Fault finding and fault rectification on plc, vsd and motors. Wiring testing and commission electrical equipment. Mange modification to existing equipment and new installation projects. Use hand and power tools applicable to trade.

Very good at learning electricity

Safety at all times, punctuality and learning fault findings and motor testing. Good working relationship with coleagues . I have learned to work independantely as well as with a group and i have good communication skills.

Working under Pressure daily

CcCurrently typical day at my workplace, everything is required urgently and working with skeleton staff because of the current retrenchment we had. Other than that we have supportive workforce and always working together as team to achieve the objectives of the company. In that, everyone is required to be flexible as we no longer focus on one job spec but various in order for everyone to be multi-skilled. Pressure is a day to day thing, it's our new work life style as we try to meet our daily deadlines.

Gaining experience

I have learnt about making formulations, mixing and milling rubber, curing of rubber and writing laboratory trial and factory trial reports. I have a good working relationship with my superviser and co workers. I enjoy writing repoelrts and mixing the rubber, as well as testing the rubber to obtain results.
