A JSE listed company that takes their employees for granted. Decent incentives not offered. Staff turnover very high as employees are unhappy with the way the company is managed.

Excellent learning curve
It was a good experience as i had opportunity to further my studies throughout the company and to travel all over the country experiencing all different types of business division.

Learned to work with different personalities and had a good chance of playing a leading role.
In my line of work you need to think out of the box, which means in order to excel i need to be proactive at all times. Being very good with numeracy gives me upper hand and being a fast thinker afforded me opportunity to lead and learn.
Pros: Good environment for learning the industry for its a big organisation.
Cons: Limitations in terms of carrier growth as an individual.

Very good environment for personal growth
Value logistics is giving it's employees to be independent and work more effecient. There are also in service/house training available to employee. Working at value helped me to get experience of a warehouse. I have learned a lot there.
Pros: Chances of promotion are very high

Excellent learning curve - I've learnt alot about the industry but it is challenging.
Managing the day to day CHEP pallets. Capturing of THAN's OR PCN's. Monitoring of TDN's raised. Weekly / Monthly invoicing. Processing of orders for stock, returns etc. Embrace orders processing. GRV'ing of orders. Submitting invoices for payments. Opening, and uploading of new trading partners, accounts etc. Stationery orders Asset checks Pallet counts Because it is a very male orientated environment, it can be challenging dealing with some managers.

Cons: Male orientated environment, don't really have females in manager positions

Learning experience
Working as receiving administrator is a demanding job and a good experience to communiticate with you colleagues and the drivers. It help you to build a better relationship with everyone around you. The challenging part about receiving is when you receive the stock short or damage as it needs you to give all relevant information to the relevant people so that they don't blame you in the end. The most wonderful part for a person to enjoy the work inveroment is to build a good relationship

Gained work experience
I work from 8am to 5pm, there's no room for possible promotion and the salary is too little and the work load is too much, l have a good relations with my colleagues.

My description is warehouse admin I capture orders , receiving stock ,dispatching I count my stock every morning before I send stock on hand on clients doing stock take using RF scanner every day picking orders using RF scanner packing orders on isastore and manifest it capture order order on freightware doing report month end report every month end Cleaning reports of each client scanning maybe if some one is asking for something or invoice I do assist her/ or him do copies answering phone and emails
