The not so Good Busby

I work in a very friendly environment and and typical day consists of liaising with contractors about project cost and payment structures. i collect quotes, create purchase orders and request payments I have learnt negotiation skills and the ins and out of the business with regards to store development. The most challenging aspects of my job is that we are a team of two and handle a lot of projects at the same time. The company doesn't replace staff but adds additional work into our daily KPA

Pros: great learning opportuinity
Cons: no growth, no structure,long working hours,empty promises

Excellent learning curve

Average at the moment. Things are looking down as the big challenge is we have changed the strategy & product on what we selling which has an impact on the customer & the top line which is the turnover of the store. We haven't taken the greatest opportunities to make sure we make top line from senior level outside the store.

Pros: Freedom to express your merchandising skills.
Cons: No growth

Extensive experience possessed

I have been working as a data capturer for over 4 years now. I believe with the vast knowledge and ecperience i have acquired in this field all this make me a valuable team player. Im focused, hard working and have attention to details. Im a team player who easily get well with people.

Pros: always willing to grow my career.
Cons: being teamed with colleagues who lacks passion in what they do.

Excellent learning curve

A Typical day at a Busby store includes: Clocking in at 8am, making sure that the store is clean and well replenished, counting the float and placing it into cash register, putting the daily profit aside for banking, having some tea and getting ready to open the store at 9am. I have a great relationship with all my co-workers, we even treat each other like sisters. I have learnt to be patient, kind,loyal, selfish, humble, and to treat your Job like it's your baby. I enjoy interacting with clients because I am a very bubbly person. The most challenging aspect about the Job was the fact that everyone was in competition and it was hard to trust anyone, but I still made it work great on my part.

Pros: Great opportunity to network and aim higher

Excellent learning experience

Been quite an experience working with the company, I have the best team ever. My biggest challenge is when the store does not make targets. I do not like doing admin but I usually have to overlook it after my assistant has gone through it.

Experienced retail management

Handled all customer service complaints, refunds and questions.received about 88-110 boxes of new stock( luggage, handbags..)everyday. Receiting stock and making sure that everything is according to what you have on hand and should be same as the invoice and if it doesn't match,have to call head first before continuing. I enjoyed side walk sale because that's when we get to drive our sales and selling out and receiving sample. Good relationship with owners but when the business is slow then that's when they'll be hard on you. I've learned that if you know your products and know how to convince a customer you sell like you the only one in the store.

I consider myself confident, self motivated and outgoing. I am always interested in gaining knowledge of the skills and to undertake the tasks at hand with my motivation, drive and education.
