capturing of leave and deal with enquiries, HR Related, union back office work, Good relationship with colleagues team work, hard work makes somebody to learn more about the company, i enjoy challenges and exposure. its really good to work as a team that being left alone for projects that needs team support, we not doing this for our self but for the company

ASP.NET MVC, Sharepoint, C#, Ajax, Jquery, Razor

Working at my current employer has been challenging as I was introduced to different systems in a month of my employment. i have lean a lot, a typical work work: attend to calls, meet deadlines on assigned projects and make enhancement on the current system or fix bugs while doing research. i have had good relationship with co-workers. i learnt about postal services systems, i have enjoyed assisting customers, developing new application by myself to learn oracle and resolve current oracle issues.

Excellent

My typical workday is excellent My relationship with co-workers is excellent I have accumulated a vast experience in the procurement environment what I enjoy most is when presenting bid recommendations for approval to the relevant authorities The most challenging aspects of the job is that at SAPO Procurement we are not commodity based which means you learn new things on regular basis.

Pros: High possibility of growth
Cons: We dont have holidays, you need to be ready at all the times even when you are on vacational leave.

WORK HARD AND LEARNED A LOT BUT NEED SOMETHING MORE EXCITING

I ENJOY MY WORK BUT FEEL THAT I AM CAPABLE IN DOING MORE AND LOOKING FOR SOMETHING MORE CHALLENGING BECAUSE I AM VERY COMMITTED AND CAN BE AN ASSET FOR ANY COMPANY

Excellent learning curve

I had an opportunity of working in a number of intense projects such as infrastructure refresh project where we where migrating the entire IT infrastructure to newer infrastructure, I also had an opportunity of building high availability system such as the Oracle RAC and IBM Power HA also the SAP environment. On a typical day I check errors on the systems, file system and operating system backups and overall system performance. I enjoy working on projects a lot, as I believe that I learn more in projects

Pros: Excellent place to learn, as you are not restricted by what you are hired to do

Excellent learning curve

I started at SA post office as an intern and I have learned alot of things and was appointed as a permanent employee after one six months as a Cost and Management Accountant - Group. I was responsible for consolidating the company's figures and also did the Capex for the company. I was also responsible for transfer pricing and support charge out distribution. Eight years later I was appointed as a Senior Analyst and I build models for all the support services within SA post office. I gather information frkm different business units in order to show them how much is the unit recovering from other business units for the services tha provide yo them.

Planning and Process

A typical work day is adapting to changes in operations by monitoring processes and making the necessary adjustments in SOP's. This is done with the consultation with co-workers and Management to ensure what the requirements are w.r.t the specific changes. Through this process I have been able to use the Adobe Reader application to its full functionality. I truly enjoy the interaction between Management and workers to arrive at a common goal to make the operations more efficient. There is much pressure to ensure that all changes are done timeously so as to keep operations moving effectively.
