Making a Difference in Lives of Others
I joined the Working on Fire Programme to assist in making a difference in the lives of the most marginalised youth in our country. Th programme is a truly inspirational and has help me to view the working environment and entrepreneurial opportunities in South Africa. I enjoy my engagement with fire fighters and the role I am able to play as mentor and advisor to the working environment entrants. I am also able to use my background and experience to give them some motivation that success can be achieved through hard work and building good relationships. The programme has also opened my eyes to the will of others that are less fortunate and the drive and desire to escape the situations they find themselves in and the joy and jubilation they express when they achieve, even the smallest of goals. The programme has also shown me what real bravery is about as the firefighter’s act as a family and protect each other on the fire-line under harsh conditions and never back out.
Pros: Great Organisation for People Development.
Cons: Not dependent on cutting edge technology.

No bonus
Im a full time type 3 Dispatch and with my coligue we got a good relationship.. My experience with my job its to deal with different type off people over phone some angry some just dont get to what your saying but end the end we come on one side and make things happen Always be punctual and well representable When dealing with land owners ya some thinks they just say this and happen it doesn't work like that

Fire fighter
I have learnt a lot from working on fire and i have good experience. I have been in so many places in the country. I was pleased to save lives of environment, animals and people. They taught me about how teamwork works how we need each other to achieve one goal. To have same mission and vision. I give my best to my work or job and I have learnt a lot from lots of people "they say each one teach one" I am dedicated and learning new things.

Excellent learning curve
I really enjoy my work, it's challenging me in many ways. Our company has a lot of departments which gives me exposure to different departments such as HR, Stock control, fleet management, IR and operations. I have a good working relationship with my colleagues, we work as a team to take the company to the next level and maintaining the company standards and values. The most challenging part about my work is the constantly changing of policies but since I'm flexible I adopt very quickly

Excellent Learning Curve, Management of large groups in different regions
i would not recommend the company to anyone looking for employment, you are not free at everything you do, The company can easily dismiss you because they do not lose anything, no proper training are provide, no bonus, medical aid or pension

Preparation for future
I am respected and valued by my colleagues,I with my colleagues stand together all the time and keep the word team work. My colleagues always enjoy my company. Adaptibility,Communication Listening,Administration,Patient and Leadership that is what I learn while inside the company. Camps,Physical fitness,Travelling to Fire those are what I enjoy. Working Long hours in steep area,Working at Night in a country that never seen in a daylight those are my most challenging aspect

Excellent Company with great people. It is great being part of something that makes a difference. I also get to work with these heroes that go out to fight fires

Good learning
Doing daily administration. Compile weekly timesheet, daily productivity report, weekly activity report ect. I'm having a marvelous relationship with my followers even if they have different cultures we get along funtastic. I'm a fast learner therefore I learn different languages within my team and they different lifestyles "cultures". I really enjoy the teams teamwork and the way they are creative. The most challenging aspect of my job is during wild fires. The farmers are not trained for the job but Wil shout at fire fighters yes its they land and farms but not trained for wild fires. They confuse the fire fighters and tht is creating panicking amongst us then people Wil get injured and me as a leader Wil have to provide with answers
