Wonderful growth and a very nice learning curve

I have had a wonderful relationship with my coworkers. The company is very flexible in learning new technologies which helped me learn DevOps, work in a culture that is truly world-class, when it comes to learning and experiences around. The most I enjoyed are the opportunities I got, I was able to understand the banking sector in-depth, especially when it comes to payments, personal business banking, and corporate business banking.

Cons: No salary hike even after promotions

Excellent Opportunity

I have started working for wipro technologies on july 2017 and i was placed at standardbank SA as a test analyst.I was part of BPM team doing both integration and functional testing.I enjoying working with m team because there is no limitation, I was given the opportunity to learn selenium and cucumber BDD framework and I managed to script some of the BPM processes using this framework.

Pros: I have learnt so many things
Cons: They still prefer manual than automation

Responsibilities: • Involve in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Automation Testing. • Involve in Manual (Finacle Payments) and Automation Testing (Finacle Core Banking). • Analyse Test Data for automation execution. • Prepare Business parameter definition (BPD) for Sanity and Regression Testing in UAT. • Prepare Test Data in excel for Automation Testing (Execution). • Analyse Test Cases for execution. • Involve in daily status meeting. • Analyse and fix script issues. • Create customer information (Retail & Corporate) with automation script in SIT. • Create customer accounts (Loans, Current, Savings and Overdraft) in SIT. • Testing Web application Functionality (Finacle) in SIT.

Good learning curriculum

Had intense hours of training with excellent and experienced co-workers and learned a lot, most part that I enjoyed about it is that you get to choose which clients you want to go to and which specialization field you want

Pros: Get to choose field you wanna specialize in
Cons: You can report to office almost every day with no work to do

Objective

Would like a more analytical role. Currently we receive features that business would like to implement. We use Agile methodology, so we break it down to smaller deliverables of two week sprints. My role would then be to test the application once development has completed. If testing completed we signoff the change fir UAT testing essentially to be implemented into production.

Not satisfactory working environment

A typical work day is so daunting, lunch time is being cut short. Relationship with workers is fine, no problem with that. There is so much to learn only if you work for extra hours. Literally nothing is enjoyable here.

Pros: You do lot of different stuff on a daily basis
Cons: Long working hours and no extra hour payment, no bonuses, no any other benefits
