I'm a driven positive person.

I have a hectic full working day everyday, working hard and getting things done. They very supportive and helping a lot, we get along just fine and I like to interact with them. I have learnt a lot , how to deal with customers, helping with the Welfit Oddy database and tanks that the company build's info, etc. I enjoy my lunch break, love to take fresh air and walking to the canteen, because that's the moment when I need a break from my work, but I love doing my job and meeting deadlines. Getting accurate information from the database , compiling a file with photos of the tank and serial numbers, getting everything ready for customers and helping with certificates that also have to go to customers.

Pros: no oppertunities but would promotion
Cons: 8 hours a day and 40 per week, no overtime.

Daily work

I've learned is that safety comes first and to be patient when doing procedural welds and always put quality down on my work. Building of experience

Great company to work for, except for the management who still think that the business environment revolves around who you know in the industry instead of proper research and analysis. Their misconception of latest technology really left the company in the dust of newer companies that is currently using up to date systems. In this day and age you can't run an organisation like a farm.

Eager to learn more

loading and offloading of tanks to the paint line and the tanks that are painted must be sent to yard. we had good relationships with my co-workers because we never had arguement. i second shift because its easy make your target than morning shift. the challenging part about that we the target increases from 12tanks to be painted to 18 per shift.

Pros: yes if you are multi skilled worker
Cons: double shift sometimes or 12hours per shift.

For a better prospect in life

Hi i just want's what best for my family in welfit oddy im giving my best as a worker just like anybody else but in my job im a cnc operator setter and i also has to do my own programming of the machine, we are getting different jobs thats not even pert of our job and you had to program it accordingly to the disign but i am getting paid R68. 15 per hour. Thats why im looking for a new job. Thanks-

Pros: Im a good work but looking out for better.

Develop myself to different sectors to grow the knowledge

I enjoy everyday's work as it brings the best of me. I normally get along with my co-workers simply because of the languages i speak it makes my job easy and instructions get be clear for everyone. Every company i worked for i gained lot of experience from rail sector to tank sector. I mostly enjoy working with people because it makes one's job easy and pleasant. The most challenging part is when people are not innovative in terms of making job easy, only relaying on working hard not smart.
