Working experience
Working at the company I am at the moment. it is a structured environment where policy and procedure is always followed. it is structured HR department that splits the different dapartments, IR, Rcruitemnt, Training, Wages and HR admin. I form part of the RH Administration team, whereby I handle everything about an employees employment from start to finish. There are user friendly systems in place al of which Is new to the company and I have learnt and grew with using new systems where ever I went.

Learned alot about sheet metal, stainless steel, welding and how to work with 50 plus employees
Great working with people, work ethnics and other human foctors is great. Typical work day starts with group sessions. Setting standards and quality feedback. Great working at a rather karge factory

have been working for the company for the past 13 years and managed to grow myself within, stared as low level operator to the supervisory level. while working here also continue to study further towards the manufacturing industry. Has obtained a Degree in Operations Management. at present working as the Technical Support to the production lines, eliminate and resolve all the problems that arise/ might arise during production.

Knowledge of all aspects of logistics and all related departments
Managing all aspects of 3 warehouses , receiving \ Despatching Stock control , chase and investigate part shortages and following up , good peoples skills I enjoy the adrenalin rush , getting things done on time , time management

Excellent learning curve and an interesting mix of people to work with
on a typical working day daily production and quality and of course your efficiency needs to chased in our team meeting at the start of each shift, we would discuss daily job assignments and targets and also I would say something motivational from time to time to get the team focused. as for my relationship with my team and co-workers, we became like a family, a family where you will try your best to not let everyone down and you give everything, take ownership and responsibility. What I have learnt is that output and efficiency is important but quality is consistency is just as important. And also taking ownership. What I enjoy most about working at Welfit Oddy was that feeling of having a family at work away from my family at home and learning to trust each other and trust my time to do their best without me having to watch them constantly. Trying to be efficient when you have jobs or orders that you need to do and you can't always send the people home for short time.
Pros: learning a specialized line of work
Cons: long hours and the supporting fuctions or departments are sometimsletting production down

Building of experience
Great company to work for, except for the management who still think that the business environment revolves around who you know in the industry instead of proper research and analysis. Their misconception of latest technology really left the company in the dust of newer companies that is currently using up to date systems. In this day and age you can't run an organisation like a farm.

Good exposure to my career
supervise and train welders and apprentices. do progress profile on trainees. fracture and etch test plates. control and order consumables and plates. do evaluation / ability test on new trainees. do master sample for the company. assist trainees when they do online training in different departments. I love to train people and be part of their development. I have learnt to be more patient and to give everyone a fair chance to proof themselves. most challenging part of my work is when someone is struggling to be a welder and cannot do but insist that it is one of his/her passions and then I have to break the news that he/she can't do it .
