Good
Construction work is challenging in terms of working far away from you family. It is a good experience in term of meeting new people who come from the different backgrounds. Projects need to be completed on time therefore you always work under pressure. The other challenge is when the project that you are currently doing finishes, you don't know where next are you going to work. Like I said you work with different people which include the management, so you have to prove yourself every time that you are capable of doing your job.
Pros: it is a great company, we work like family
Cons: we always work more hours including weekends.

Excellent learning curve
Dear Sir / Madam Having worked within the industry for over 15 years, I have developed a wide range of skills that would meet, and exceed the expectations for the role. In my present role as a Commercial Manager for Tekfalt Binders (Part of WBHO Group) I have had many achievements, including 14 years of my career as a highly motivated Quantity Surveyor with many projects completed successfully. I have also completed a number of internal training programs to help develop my personal management, skills development as well as people management and emotional intelligence.

In-house training
Good company to work for.not many opportunities for promotions.colleagues are OK.working time 8am to4:30pm.iyou need to meet your deadlines. You need to own what u r doing, otherwise ur superior get the credit.

Excellent learning curve
I learn how to deal with people from different levels of occupations. It helped me understand and relate in other people's beliefs and work ETHICS . I communicate in simple terms without compromising the meaning of the actual meaning. Punctuality is not an ethic but rather a sign if self respect, teaches you how to save or spend money. Where to spend from and why you should be putting it on that category.

Site Engineer at WBHO
As this is a big company, the day for management starts with a 6am production meeting which sets the tone for the day and reflect on the previous days challenges. After the meeting we go to our sections brief our teams of their days work and safety considerations and then the work on site proceeds. As a site engineer you must be ahead of the day so one would be making arrangements for the work to come and also capturing records for the work done. But the work would not be limited to your job description, you would have to help out in other areas of running the site which are administrative and this you find your self up and down and under immense pressure.
Pros: Use of company car, learning new places, great work exposure
Cons: Long hours, too much driving

I have been working for WBHO as from when I was still a student in 2015 to date, moving from contract to contract when work was available. This has increased my knowledge in construction widely, working on dig projects, namely; Greenacres shopping centre, Transnet PE and now Virgin Active in Greenacres. I have learnt as much as I have been exposed to, by means of observing my seniors and performing my tasks. My responsible thus far have been assisting the main Quantity Surveyor(QS) by means for: Providing site measures Liaising with SMMEs Doing claims for SMMEs Providing material needed for the monthly claim (backup for claims in the form of mini bills) Costing site instructions

Positively challenging yet limited
The position is challenging and forces me to give my best each day. The concerning factor however is the management of the company that does not look out for the best for it's employees. Opportunity for growth is extremely limited and favoritism is rife within the company. Working with people from all walks of life is a huge bonus as there is never a dull moment when communicating and sharing the day with a great, diverse group of people.

Good in communication with employees and management
hard working person,believe in a team work ,make sure all workers are treated equally ,the most imported thing i have learn at my previous company is to be discipline all the time ,i enjoy working with the top bosses of the company because it make learn more things about how to control both workers and admin, things that was very challenging during my working it was the time i was working under pressure

Cons: no problem working under pressure even if the company is seeking for help during my spare time
