Exposure to funders

I worked at a small office it was a close relationship because I was previously a bursary holder. We'd often have lunches together and started a charity event to help the less fortunate.

Pros: Learning opportunities

Excellent learning Curve

The excitement of applying the relevant knowledge and skills that I have has ignited my interest in applying for the graduate program position at Insiox. I am confident that I have the knowledge and skills to professionally fulfill the position as required by the organization as I’m currently in the process of research in the field of networking and data analytics with Free Space Optical Communication (FSOC), which integrates physics, telecoms, and machine learning. I am eager to enhance and refine my personal development within the organization and take on the challenges that lie ahead with the pursuit of learning and contributing to the advancement of ICT and data analytics.

Pros: great opportunity
Cons: flexible hours

Great experience

I have an excellent relationship with my colleagues and we work well as a unit. I have learnt various skills and how to view things from other perspectives. A typical workday involves various duties including admin, teaching and making sure everything is set up and working. I enjoy the administrative duties the most. The most challenging thing is when students do not co-operate, but that gives me the opportunity to step up as a leader.

Pros: Great opportunity to gain experience with various kinds of personalities
Cons: Not many hours of work

Very challenging to sell insurance. I respect those who can.

The company sells you a position according to your strengths or ambitions. Thereafter they basically leave you to your own devices. It's literally all about the sales

Pros: Decent opportunity for growth
Cons: You basically have to find your own clients, pitch, and do all the Admin work. Hardly any assistance from the seniors in the team.

Very Challenging

Worked with a small group thus it was easy to get help from fellow students when stuck. Helped me improve my time management skills and strengthened my written and verbal communication skills.

Pros: Great place to learn and improve
Cons: Understanding from senior management is required

Excellent learning experience

I done weekly tutorial marking of 70 students. I also marked their assignments when needed. For the 3rd year class, I tutored Idrisi Selva every Thursday and ensured that students knew what was required and why they were doing a conservation plan. I enjoyed teaching students and earning an income on the side. Marking the tutorials was challenging as I had the entire class whereas other tutors do not exceed 20 students in their classes.

Pros: Great Opportunity
Cons: You need to be s student to tutor.

Excellent learning curve and lab work experience

It is great to be apart of Uwc helping first year students understanding practicals. A typical day is 5 hours of work including helping students for 2 annd a half hours and the other 2 amd a half hours are spemt on marking books/tests.many times before the practical sessions start, the lab has to be prepared for the students. I love working with my co-workers, they are such wonderful people I enjoy interacting with the students, as i was also once in their place. Most challenging aspect of the job, well there was none as i love what i do

Pros: Graet opportunity for lab work experience
Cons: None

It was interesting

I was a students who helped other students As a young African, I take pride in who I am and how far my people have come. As a small part of the new generation I would love to contribute to our growth as best as I can. I believe learning and investing in myself and technology is the way to do that, because you can't help or teach something you do not know. Therefore with my discipline and commitment, I would like to be brought under mentorship, to be taught how to level up my mentality, so that I can help others level up also.

Pros: Helping other students
Cons: Micromanagement
