Very good for learning

I worked at production and trained on engineering side. I found Unilever very interesting to learn different things and production work motivated me to study more to be on another level.

Great introduction to a working environment.

It has been quite some experience, a beautiful one I must say. From day 1 a lot has been learned. Basically Unilever has taught me every thing about the work environment. What it means to be an employee, what it means to chase work targets, what it means to be part of a team, what it is like to take responsibility of your work station and to own it. I have been introduced to workplace language, from production terminology to body language. I have been taught about the importance of safety and quality delivery at workplace. Basically this company has taught every thing about being part of the employed class.

Brilliant Execution

I have had a great experience delivery consistency along the years that I have been with the company. 2013, 2014 and 2015 had been great year in my career growing and getting various opportunities within the organisation to showcase my skills. Been through restructuring project and executed that brilliantly. Commissioned the new first Ice cream factory in Africa and done that very successful. Managed massive PC opetations and Aerosol Plant.

Excellent development opportunity

An excellent company to work for. Have an endless opportunity to develop leadership skill and different management techniques.Direct reports development and coaching is top priority and also finding good talent.strategic planning and execution is reviewed periodically to ensure align ment and achieving set objectives

Jst want to go back to engineering

it is good company to work for however its hard to move back to my career path which is to become artisan. we work mon to fri one week 6am to 2pm another week 1pm to 9pm

Review

My current job role requires me to go to the factory daily,ensure that all raw materials used in the factory are of good quality.Do measurement and testing on packed product and raw materials.The most challenging thing about my job is working with people who don't make quality their number one riority.I do have good working relationship with my coworkers. What I have learnt is that it is very important to work as a team and to respect others opinion. What find joy or enjoy is to save and win challenges or projects on time.
