They is a excellent training in pipe line, welding skill, and boilermaking
we work according to our job cards. sometime we do shutdown and breakdown, changing meters or valves, pipes repairs and laying the pipes. welding he flanges and pipe with a different size but the big one is 1,6. so ive learn a lot to work as a team

Great experience opportunity received in different fields within the SCM enviroment
Team work is key in order to achieve the company's strategic objective goal of delivery bulk water to its customers. With the implementation of a new SAP system within the company at the moment a typical day at work is quite interesting and can be sometimes stressful and frustrating. As Umgeni Water is typically a water sector having the proper skills and knowledge is key as well as understanding policies and procedure.

Excellent learning curve
I am working as installation Electrician. EVERY day I am writing certificate of compliance,power troops, maintenance.Inspection of temporary power on these project.but into ANATHER sites I am doing testing of panel or distribution board. At umngeni water I was working as maintenance, testing of generator,industrial motors,variable speed drives,plc,capturing of job cards.
Pros: I learnt to work with different managers and different nations like Mozambiqians,Indians,Vedas and the most indians

Excellent
I am working 8 hrs a day from Monday to friday or over time on weekends. My relationship is good I have learnt more things like fault finding and repairing on pumps , blower, compressor, changing bearings etc

Good company culture
Good company culture & learning environment . I started there as a trainee and later developed into my current position. I have grown fond of working with my colleague who are respectable and diplomatic and who also are keen to assist other colleagues who need help. Our supervisors give us enough freedom to do our work but are still involved in the process, we are not micro managed but we are still accountable.

Growth in confidence in my work
I work independently. Typical day would be scanning the regulatory universe for new and amended legislation which impact on the organisation. Compiling risk management plans. Drafting and vetting contracts. I enjoy learning about the different departments, one week I will be deep in SCM issues and the next week in operational. It keeps the work interesting. The most challenging aspect of the job is not having a support structure. etting contracts.
