Admin,running the store security aweness

I m a hard worker, I do merchandising so that very time the store look visual appealing.I go extra miles a do excellent customer service. I coach and develop people, also conduct trainings.handling money when it go out. Supervise stock when it come in and receive stock.

Excellent learning curve

It is a very rewarding company with alot of opportunity for growth but you are required to work most weekends. I started as a cashier in Truworths and due to hard work i received a promotion to supervisor.

Learning curve

Working at Truworths has been a great learning experience, especially taking into account the fact that I started working there as a student. I've learned a lot with regards to dealing with situations that involve customers in various ways. How to interact and retain customers and deal with difficult customers as well. Having to take instructions from management regarding certain targets the store wishes to attain like customer service feedback and opening of new accounts. On a day to day basis we deal with various transactions, whether it is customer related queries about their account or a simple purchase of the store's merchandise and customers coming to pay their installments. So I've learnt a great deal from working there, also administrative duties delegated upon by management such as banking to see how we handle our work and other duties as possible growth prospects.

Pros: Great opportunity for someone with a passion for working with people and has fashion sense.
Cons: Long hours and very few off days

Learning great opportunities

I've learned that being a manager and a brand ambassador gave me great opportunity to work with different individuals with great minds and strong personalities. I also enjoyed working with my co-workers because you learn something new everyday and they game me exciting opportunities.

Pros: They gave you great and challenging opportunities.
Cons: Working hours were not challenging.

It's most professional store i have ever work for

They give you a chance to express your leadership, and you must report your monthly target and performance of your account drive. we have half yearly roadshow where they update us about all truworths and identity how they perform

Road to discovery

working with customers is an exciting challenge, whereby one has to make sure that customers are satisfied at the end of the day, we met different customers on a daily basis where we have to offer individual customer service to each of the customers. my relationship with my co-workers is excellent whereby we respect each other and making sure we follow the rules and procedures of the company. I have learned numerous this with this company such as costumer service, good communications skills, team work, excellent telephone etiquette, I have also worked in various departments such as the cash desk, fine jewelry, Truworths men, Daniel Hector awel as in the administration office. I mostly enjoy working together with my colleagues the most challenging aspects of this job is deal with conflict situation and dealing with customer service, but with great professionalism, this is nothing impossible. thank you very much.

Good customer service

My job description is a very challenging position in terms of working long hours,work and helping with different types of people and customers. I real love to work under pressure because I know my self I am highly organised to my job ,like to balance things at the right time .And I am very good with point of views and solving peoples problem and a very responsible person. A team work is very important without it nothing will flow easily, were I'am coming from team work and communication is good key for the success of the business,I priorities my work very much.Now I am currently doing office admin and secretary course which is I really enjoy it because this course is all about work with good skills and communication skill with management and be highly organised at all times.

Pros: Willing to go extra mile ,learning from challenges and grow in Business.
Cons: I am very reliable person so available at any time.

My experience and knowldge gained during my 4 years service at Truworths.

It is a wonderful experience to work at Truworths , the most important skill one can aqquire by working in a retail enviroment is the skill of customer service, you learn how to interact well with people which also requires patience and endurance since you work with people from different backrounds , i have learned a lot including filling , working with cash and being cautious when working with cash as well as handling day to day queries and complaints by customers . The most challenging aspects is when given a certain target or turnover to reach, whether it could be daily , weekly or monthly , as employees we are supposed to work at our best and make sure we reach the given target of sales , its positively motivating though to have reached the given target and that's what makes it more excting and one can feel more of an asset than a liability to the irganisation.

I have good communication skills,motivated& always go my exstra mile.

Me and my co workers had a good understanding always listen to each othr advice. Learned alot at my company how to deal with difficult customers, how to run the store n staff whn manager off duty,how to run turnover, targets,new accounts,how to handle ur staff.what i njoyd most is working with people and to see that thy happy with the good service thy have been helpd with.the most challenging aspects was whn i had to run the store for the first tym but as the days went on i got to it.

Cons: long hours wont be a problem
