I am the most experienced person in this trade good experience interms of breakdowns and standby performance a very good relationship with my co workers good communication with my superiors no challenges because we work hand in hand with the maintenance workers and superiors

Hard working,honest and ambitious

I am a hard working person who loves working in a relaxed environment with a good team, I have learned to do things as they come and to prioritize my work and to meet deadlines. I enjoy working with people who learn from their mistakes

Excellent learning curve

A typical work day include: daily worksheet check-up, safety meeting, clarification and evaporation control, report to shift supervisor, check gauges and temperature values. I have a strong bond with my co-workers. I have learnt to: work on shifts, work under pressure, cope with all types of people, operate the evaration and crarification processes. I enjoy operating the evaporation process.

It's was lovely

Working at tongaat Huletts sugar was so nice the people were so friendly, I enjoyed every second I spend there. They also allowed you to study while working there

Good working relations

I have created a strong relationship with my coworkers and general labour at larg. in all my sites (06 sites) employees get along, and if there is any problem amongst them, we always find a way to resolve it I normally visit 2 sites per day, unless there are more issues to attend on one site.

Pros: lot of learning

Exceptional company to be employed at

I served my apprenticeship with Tongaat Hulett Sugar Refinery in kzn Expectional company to work for I enjoyed my time whilst working for the company I've had good relationships with my colleagues The training provided by the company is at a great standard and they have a vast range of machines and equipment to learn from Thank you

My name is Thabo A Ngubane and I have acquired a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) with several distinctions, followed by a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Johannesburg(UJ) with several distinctions as well. I have experience in the mining industry (quarry), were i applied my skills as a trainee mechanical technician carrying out maintenance on crushing and screening equipment. I have also gained experience in the builder service sector as a graduate mechanical es well as obtaining a Government Certificate of Competency (GCC).

Opportunity for growth

Nice working environment, R&D exposure and investment on workers are exceptional. Challenges with daily operations has inculcated a learning curve to working under pressure while maintaining safety protocols and minimising downtime. Moreover, the environment also teaches how to manage time. Healthy working environment with process team and senior management.

Pros: Great opportunity for promotion and acknowledgement of excellent performance.
