Goal driven and future focus.

IT Helpdesk Support for the current company T systems, I support Eskom users for their day to day incidents telephonically. Reset Domain passwords, creating users domain accounts, logging faults on the call log system and follow up with the resolver?s onsite and connect remotely to the user’s computer for issues that can be resolved at that time. I learned communications skills and to sympathise in making them feel at ease. I can work as group or individually, the skills that I have acquired in my work experience. Is to further learn more new things and learn as much as possible and working under pressure. In the year 2014 at T system are acquired 5 awards for agent of the year. In December same year I received another Award for support engineer of the year for 2014. It proved to me that everything is possible with hard work.

Pros: More expirence and achievements
Cons: working on weekends and public holidays

Good opportunity to learn (multi task, taking challenges and communicate)

I have learnt at lot at my current company, i have been working for T-Systems for almost 8 years as a contractor. I was based at Transnet (a client of T-Systems); and every time when there was an opportunity to learn, like work from other clients they will afford me the opportunity. I did not have to leave my client, rather i had to put in more time even if there was no compensation for it, for me it was a great opportunity to learn. The communication was as well very good with both the client and my contracting company. As a contractor, the disadvantage is that the opportunities that are afforded permanent employees are way more than contractors.

Pros: The main advantage is that it gives me the opportunity to individually and as a team player. I am able to plan my work more and deliver in good time. I have improved in my communication skills as well.
Cons: Because of multi-tasking, sometimes personal time with family is compromised

T-Systems' processes need to be localised to fit the nuances of the South Africa environment

A typical workday would include a stand-up meeting at 11 AM with the project resources to address issues being experienced in the various work streams. Additional meetings with third-party service providers like MTN, Vodacom, Comsol would follow with regards to network links for in-flight projects. Relationships with co-workers are great due to a general culture of ownership of one's work and the eagerness to always assist others. What I have I learnt is developing the skill of influencing people without being their line manager. I have particularly enjoyed learning about cloud computing and how it's changing the economics of IT infrastructure services. The one stand-out challenge in the job is managing deliverables by third-party vendors without having an agreement in place to govern and enforce accountability.

Pros: T-Systems paid or my MBA studies
Cons: The business is losing market share due to not adapting fast enough to changes in the world

T-systems is the best place to work, grow and learn, it has diversity of culture

My day varies depending on various things. It depends on what week is it, if is forecast week or month end week or Business Review. If there are any urgent queries or meeting to attend. The Controlling team is made up of 10 people and we all have good working relationship. We treat each other with respect, there is trust and open communication within the team. If one colleague struggle with a task, we get together and help, our team motto is team together or team apart. At T-Systems I have learned a lot about dealing with customers (Operations) and how to handle difficult request from those who might be bit irritated when approaching me. I have learned to keep cool during confrontation and that arguing with anyone in a professional setting is not right. I have learned to keep a clear mind and carry myself in a professional manner.

Pros: Great place to grow and learn
Cons: N/A
