An all rounder HR Generalist
A typical day entails recruitment, team dynamics and OD matters, grievances/dispute resolutions, interactions with labour, GMs and senior management on all people matters. Have learnt aviation customer touch points, on time performance and productivity/flexibility measures. I enjoyed facilitating and implementing a replacement plan for mission critical roles. The most challenging was the rationalisation (Section 189 process), particularly disputes lodged by affected staff who had to be demoted to lower positions.

Excellent learning experience
I love travelling and meeting different people. Flying is a lifestyle. Everyday is different. Travelling opens your eyes. The company has made it possible for me to see the world and get paid at the same time.

Excellent job skills and communication skills
I like to work with a team and it gave me opportunity of expressing myself, boost my self confidence, understand other peoples needs and motivating each other. I have learned to work with internal and external customers. Also how to communicate with them and to ensure that they happy all the time. My typical day at work is to check all the emails first thing in the morning respond and do follow-up. And also check all the invoices if the paid on time and file all the important documents.

Excellent learning curve
South African Airways is a brilliant company to work for, i currently based at the Airport in charge of departures and making sure that the flight departs on time. My typical day , i have to deal with staff issues , attendance , disciplinary, motivate , coach and also capture data. I enjoy working in this environment because u interact and learn a lot about self and also how to deal with different personalities

Growing as an individual
i had a very good relationship with my co workers and my managers. we worked as a team and if we completed our work before schedule , we world assist the other teams. Growing our people in the company was key - we would always be teaching new members the skills we have acquired over the years . I love the aviation industry and planes are my passion, l enjoy the feeling of having a plane i worked on come back with no issues. Challenges will be short staff at the company , trying to get the job completed by deadline without the man power.

Learning Curve
SQL report developer. Performing second line AMOS application support and enable business functions and documenting Business process design and mapping. SAA project management methodologies. SAA Software Development Lifecycle. Gathering and compiling business functional and technical requirement specifications. Consultant and software applications configuration and upgrade. Support AMOS application software maintenance. Competent interaction with 3rd party vendors and SAA Technical business users.

Sourcing Specialist Working Experience
My experience at SAA has been dynamic. The pressure as a Sourcing Specialist made me to grow and take accountability in many aspects. The daily job included to plan my day and head the CFST as well as the whole tender process whereby at any given time there were approximately 7 to 9 projects that were at different staged of the tender process. I learned to the importance of team work with my co-workers as we assisted each other more especially on tender briefing days were we made arrangements to collects potential bidders at the main gate while I concentrated on the briefing session. I enjoyed the level of being put into complete control of my projects and having to overcome the pressure that came with the level of responsibility. The challenges that came with my position was the high level of Bureaucracy which impeded in the approvals and day to day runnings of the projects. I have learned to juggle projects, Analytical skills, decision making skills, time keeping and prioritizing my work.

SAA has given me the experience that i needed for my future.
Working at this organisation was a very good feeling from the beginning. I enjoyed every moment i had and still enjoying the organisation at this time. I have built a very strong relationship with my colleagues which helps the workflow and effective communication in the workplace. I accepted the challenges and came with the strategies to overcome those challenges i faced.

Challenging ones offer so much professional and personal growth so I embrace challenges
Working at my current company is really amazing, no one day is like the other. Dealing with different people from different backgrounds from all walks of life from all over the world is beautiful and challenging. I've learned so much about the international community and the aviation industry. I learned how to refuel an aircraft even if it is far from my pay grade. I've asked pilots questions about flying and assisted cabin crew in a flight once.... its just a wonderful place to work and learn. I have learned that the more challenging days teach you so much than the easy ones so that allowed me to embrace challenges because they offer so much growth
Pros: My work is great way to know to deal with different scenario on a dailey basis. No day is like the previous and meeting the international community
