The company gave me a chance to gain experience.
The company offers opportunity to young people to gain experience and further their studies. It offers no growth opportunities to those looking to expand or build their careers. There is no succession planning of any sort done by the company. Compensation is not fair and salary increments are nor fairly given to people according to performance. No appreciation is shown for going the extra mile in one's position.

To grow in the company structure and achieving company’s objectives
Smith’s manufacturing is well established company that put safety first and always. Smith’s manufacturing uses problem solving system like A3 and cause and effect diagrams where section leader would present the production lines to senior management once a week. Every morning section leader will conduct MDW meeting to discuss daily production.engineering maintenance production will meet every week to discuss line improvement and how to reduce downtime

Excellent work ethic
We are doing car cooling system eg Radiator, Condensers, HVAC units and all heating and cooling system. And wipers, filters, compressors, pipe and horses and hilly profile working condition.

Learning Curve
Finding out what the defect is, liaising with the supplier to alert them of the defect, raising the G8d for the problem and where needed, assist on soling the problem with the supplier. I have learnt that there are always different ways to look at problems for solving them. A think out of the box attitude. I love working hands on in the production area - although the feeling of having accomplished an improvement with developing suppliers - makes me want to do it more too. The most challenging part of the job, was convincing some supplier owners of the companies to get ISO in place within their companies even if they could not afford to get certified to ISO.
Pros: Close to all the people from operators , to managers to peers
Cons: Long working hours, I have a 3 year old girl and I have full custody and responsibility for her

My name is Feziwe Mngomezulu. I am a 27 year old Costing Estimator who is passionate about costing production, logistics and manufacturing. I am a proactive team player and I enjoy carrying tasks through from beginning to end. I am a quick thinker who has continuously demonstrated being able to find solutions outside the box.
