Favoritism, Manipulation and Pour management

A typical work day at Sanitech is a stressful unpleasant experiences, its an atmosphere that you want to get away from.Its an atmosphere you don't look forward to on a daily basis, but it pays the rest. A lot of favoritism and manipulation happens within the company. Staff are gossipers and back stabbers and chuck other staff under the bus to get to the top, and never take responsibility when they are wrong. Management comes to work after 11 o clock the mornings, slack and don't inform their colleges or staff when they are not in. Drink on the premises occasionally. Management will choose family related or friends to fill positions instead of staff that actually deserve the positions and works hard. Management is very judgmental and doesn't decided fairly when it comes to certain matters. Managers speak and treat their staff like crap,and talk down to their staff and colleges, not building them up but braking them mentally and emotionally down.

What you have learnt

A typical work day: starting the morning with tool box talk and vehicle checks. Preparing the drivers worksheets for the day's maintenance. Your relationship: Open communication policy with all (staff and co-workers). What you have learnt: I have learnt to release some of the work and trust that the staff will execute than to take control and do it myself so that the work gets done effectively and efficiently. What I enjoy most: Dealing with different culture inter-connection, relationships as well as various events (scope of work) that needed supervision. Most challenging aspects: Getting a clean audit for the PE branch, seeing that all safety regulations and procedures are according to work protocol.

Pros: Great opportunity doing projects, coordinate and managed events
Cons: No overtime when working long hours, overtime

At the moment same thing every day, not growing, not given opportunity to go to next level

grGrowth opprtunity not there, they'd rather appoint outsider with no experience, takes them 6 to 8 months to build pipeline instead of giving someone inside an opprtunity to grow and giving necessary training

Great company to work for

Hours were good and there were some really great staff. Team work is very important and this was something valuable I learned while working there. Respect and honesty are vital. I have grown in experience and confidence thanks to Sanitech. I loved assisting with functions and lunches. We were always encouraged to learn and try different tasks.

My typical day at work.

I work from 8 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon doing HR administration. I believe a have a strong and positive relationship with everyone and would like to maintain it that way. I have learned alot about cultural differences and beliefs. I love my work and it's what I enjoy the most. The cutlural differences is what I find very challenging.

Cons: No prospects of growth, promotion nor increase.

Excellent learning curve

I am a 33 years old African female. I am very passionate about payroll. I am a team player and work very well with my tram. I have over ten years experience in payroll. In my current Company i'I've learn so much and gain a lot of experience in different systems e.g Accpac, Fihrst and Payroll Reconciliation. The reason i want to move is because i think i need new challenges in a new environment. Kind regards

Good but no growth

my current company is good for people who are not intending to grow in the industry.it looks after it employees but no extra refresh courses and we are not inline with new technology and new products in the market

Pros: there are no posibilities of promotions

Excellent learning curve

A typical day at work is to start planning my day, researching on which customers to call on and then speak or see 6 to 8 customers. The relationship I have with my coworkers is very awesome as we get along well and always help each other when stuck.
