Great experience

I have to research info , arrange logistics and ensure all personnel is at the view e.g. stadium. I have understand all kinds of characters know how to deal with and uplift them. I have learned to work with predominantly males, I am normally the only woman. I learnt many sporting codes. I enjoy working and meetings people, from other countries, minsters and the celebrities. Coordinating the logistics.

Learning curve, diverse people, challenging but somehow fulfilling,

Challenging but good experiences . Robust and fulfilling engagements. Senior executives can do better; Corporate culture to improve . Some priorities need to be looked at. Improvement in staff morale should be one of the priorities

Pros: Getting to engage and network with different people; grow network circles

The Opportunity

As an employee at the SABC we are referred to as First Citizens because we have a mandate to our million of viewers and listeners to EDUACTE through our educational programs,INFORM through our news broadcasts and other current affairs programmes and ENTERTAIN through our 4 TV stations, 19 Radio stations. Being a first citizen at the SABC Mpumalanga office which is home to Ligwalagwala FM , with over 1 million listerners has inspired me to what to do better and be better for our community.

Pros: We deliver our mandate to over 1 million listeners in the Mpumalanga area

Very ambiguous. Loved every moment. Would not trade it for anything.

Work day consists of being around different people 8 hours of my day. Different personalities and different tempers. I can honestly say that was the most exciting. I love people. I loved my co workers. I especially got along with my Supervisor, he guided me in ways I could only ever dream of, and I always strive for better. I have learnt that patience and listening is very important when u have different people you report to.

Great career growth

Sabc is a media company. I work in Sabc Limpopo which has three big radio stations and six support divisions I.e. news , finance, sales, Rbf, human resources and Logistics. I manage finances for all these division that includes budgeting, reporting, cost management, risk manamgent and cash management

B Tech graduate working as a BEE and ED Administrator but have been acting for two yyears as a Senior Buyer. Working with SAP with the ability to handle multiple projects at a time. Good negotiation skills and SRM
